I hate that cunt, serious question, has anyone ever seen him at SJP? What an ill informed hairy fucker. Chelsea mafia sign? WTF? Dick. I'll take him in the death pool and keep my fingers crossed. we? we? I ask again McCuntick when was the last time you turned up to give your support? Theres more to being a "fan" than looking like a tit with a scarf, hat and top on. wanker

I dont see how anything gets Ashley out of the shit other than turning this club round and running it like a professional football club (one of the top 20 richest in the world) should be ran ie team sheet rather than balance sheet. It would take at least a full season for that to even look possible. What hes done here is finally realise just how much of a mess we are in, thats all. Hes realised that his investment is screwed if we go down and it needs something new because the current structure isnt working. Shearer is here for 8 games and 8 games only. Any talk of Wise going is either premature or a sign of something much bigger happening because theres no way Ash and Llambias would totally change their structure and way of working to keep Al happy for 8 games. Theres also no way that Ashley will give assurances of big money next season, they admitted the club had no money and Ash was feeling the pinch, they swear blind that their 5 year plan will work so why change it? We should take each day as it comes, each match must be met with optimism and a banging of the NUFC drum, sod next season, sod Wise, sod Ashley sod the lot of 'em. All that matters until May 25th is what happens on that pitch and hopefully, just hopefully Shearer has what it takes to pull off the required change in this club. Once thats secured then we can wonder what will happen next season, if Ashley is still here though then I dont foresee anything different to the one we've just had and as I said earlier there is no chance that both he and Shearer will be at this club together come September.

I havent read all of the thread so apologies if someones already said this.... but get the fuck in! finally some possibility of a change around and move forward.. now the level headed bit.... Hes only here til the end of the season and I reckon thats all it will be. Shearer wouldnt come here without a guarantee of good money (not huge world record breaking funds but the amounts he knows we need to compete). Shearer is another Keegan he wont be willing to come here and manage the club he loves as a lower mid table also rans. If we stay up then I reckon he walks away as hes agreed, if we go down however then I think he'll stay to get us back up. Saying all that, get the fuck in! now the pessimistic view. How come now? Rumours abound of administration if we drop and if they are actually true then Ashley now knows hes fucked as they have denied them, any credibility in the business world would be shot to shit if he now did it so hes finally getting his arse into gear to try and keep us up and delay it for a year. Even then though..... get the fuck in!!!!

Moving the club foward together no doubt. Yep no doubt supporting the team means buying a season ticket, replica shirt, 3 pints and a pie at the game and continuing to accept dross. Oh and lets work together, you buy we take the cash.

Good to see they've come out and rubbished it, at least we can get on with backing the team.... although that does seem remarkably familiar as a quote, isnt it exactly what Llambarse said in the Journal interview?

As it states there Barton was fined 60k, if this kid used that to go and get ratarsed then its his own fault. Dont get me wrong Ive got sympathy for the lad and frankly what JB did was twatful but the fact Tandy was let go by City meant he wasnt good enough, doesnt look like there was a string of Premiership or even Championship teams looking to take him on at the time so he ended up going to Denmark! Breaking his leg there wasnt Bartons fault was it? Getting in his car pissed also wasnt JBs fault, nope it was nobodies but Tandys and frankly the fact the papers are covering this in the "oooh poor Jamie, victim of vile thug Barton" when frankly hes just some failed footballer who could have killed some innocent family with what he did makes it even more of a mockery. Sometimes I wonder if you put Barton and Ian Huntely in a fight to the death the Mirror would be running "Come on Ian headlines on the front page"

Fuck knaas where he works these days, everytime Ive sat down for a pint with the bugger hes had a different career! "Hows banking?" "Oh I dont do that now, I desing fucking runways or summat equally mental"

Me too, its nothing more than rumour and hearsay at the moment, something that appears to come from credible sources but could be a case of an overheard conversation and 2+2=5. Its one of those things that you can guarantee will be denied by the club (understandably too) and we wont know if its true until it happens. At least we are aware it is a possiblity and can plan for the worst case scenario. What is important is that it doesnt distract us as fans from giving our 100% support to those on the pitch at all times for the next 8 games. Fuck me I know its hard even without this kind of threat but its totally important that nothing is allowed to distract from the task at hand. If we then manage to stay up and this does happen then at least (as far as Im aware) we wont have that -10 deduction next season.
-
Thats my understanding too. Now imagine starting next season with no notable players and -10, its freefall time. Ironic really that those who have backed Ashley throughout (and especially since the accounts were announced) used this actual scenario as the reason why he was good for the club.

Im guessing (and its merely my uneducated mind working so its probably bollocks) that because hes paid off the debts the club had by replacing them with a loan of his own then he will be the sole or at least main creditor. This would give him anything raised from Administration therefore its free reign to sell everything thats there plus those players who are on stupid money cannot possibly want to stay if they have the threat of not getting paid. Everyone out and all funds raised to good old Mikey boy not the club. I foresee a future where the half a dozen glossy shiny club merchandising stores are replaced by the tin hut out the back of the West stand, where the training ground has gone and the first team is running round Leazes Park on a Friday afternoon. Shearers has become a Weatherspoons and we are ground sharing SJP with the Falcons. In short I think hes decided that hes got more chance of recouping more cash this way than actually running a football club. Maybe one of our financial experts (Matt?) could reassure us that my thoughts are bollocks.....please

it just gets worse

The new commercial bloke at the toon doesnt think it would be a major problem either: Its something I think I argued / questioned early on in the season, lose the Premiership and we'll still get 35k going to games, merchandising locally anyway would not be massively affected as at the end of the day Geordies still buy toon tops etc. Get rid of your players that earn anything much and replace them with has-beens and young crap and you've saved millions a year. All it takes is a good push for the play offs and people will get the feelgood factor back, more in the gates, more tat sold and we're on the move again. All hes gotta do is make sure we lose the playoff final and repeat the same the year after. Chances are though that we get rid of the players replace with crap and drop further down the table, the brand dies a death outside of Walker, Wallsend and Byker and 20k if we're lucky turn up. NExt thing you know were in the shit again. Go down and he does the same again, cut the cloth to match. A few years time and its local derbies with Newcastle Blue Star, Bedlington Terriors and Blyth (if we're lucky)
