  1. I don't like seeing my money wasted on paying off a year of his contract and 3 years of Allardyces when I think they are about evenly matched. It's not that I like Roeder any more, I've said if Allardyce had replaced Souness and the debate was now "Shall we get Roeder?" I'd be saying no to that too. If either moves costs us nothing I'll be less against it, but still think it's optimistic to see him finish much higher than Roeder did last season. How the fuck can you say that Slug Boy & Sam are evenly matched? Bolton are 7th we are 13th. We have "better" individual players but Slug Boy hasnt got the working as a team, he hasnt got the defence communicating, he hasnt got a plan B, or even a plan fucking A. We were in the driving seat for the match as AZ and I know what a team with Big Sam would have done in that situation!! But Slug boy went into it in his own fucked up way and we got SHAFTED!! So how the fuck are we evenly matched? Yes we have had bad injuries but slug boy fails to work with the tools he has because he is a mong! I never said we're evenly matched with Bolton. I said Roeder is evenly matched with Allardyce. It's not a matter of wrong or right, it's just an opinion that Allardyce could have done no better this season with the players Roeder had. He may have performed better in the transfer window, but we'll have to see who he brings in over summer to judge that better. I've said it elsewhere, if Allardyce didn't have Anelka this year (like we never had Owen + many others) they'd currently be on 41 points. You've actually been sad enough to work out where they'd be without his goals? Jesus wept. Football doesn't work like that btw. ....and where would we have been without Martins (no first touch) goals. What if Bolton had Martins and we had Anelka? Chilli sauce or that creamy yoghurty stuff....?
  2. Has he!111 I thought that was quite touching meself so let it ride.

So you say they are evenly matched and then tell me he may have done better in the transfer market? I could have done better in the transfer market! Sam would have IMO got the team working better, he would have used the resources better than slug boy, he would have played players in correct positions etc IF, IF, IF If my brother had been a bird, he would have been my sister? So Anelka is at Bolton and they are higher than us and a better organised club than us. Slug boy needed to go end of situation? He did nothing for the club this season and his handling of certain players was shocking tbh They pushed Arsenal for the 4th CL spot right uptill the last few games. Some people have very short memories or even mamaries.

  6. You must be off your tits if you think Allardyce is the next Robbie Williams. I think he's an improvement and our best, realistic option. To stick with Roeder would be foolish indeed, for ST renewals alone. Allerdyce will save this club money in the short and long term imo. Clearly we must all agree if Hiddink or another of that ilk was a likely target of the pastie muncher we'd rather have him. IMO in the short to medium term Sam will stop the rot and start to build something, I'm sure Hughes would have as well. But on another note FS it is said does actually really want Sam and has admiration and respect for him and that surely will help in the communication and day to day descsion making.
  7. SSH also loves his club - that much is apparant. But before a top flight manager can be appointed, we have to become an attractive proposition to him. anyway - i said my bit earlier. I like SSH btw, so I hope my little interjections aren't taken in the wrong light.
  8. Reading through this two things stand out. SSH thinks Bolton are a top flight club. ....and Nicos was in love with Rodent.
  9. Because? Cause above everything we need organising and a re-vamp of the set up. Something he knows a thing or two about from his time at Bolton. His attention to detail and empahsis on player development and motivation and his overall psychological approach (something that some of our player sorely need). IMO Sam will put this background structure in place (and it wil take 2 seasons at least to start showing) and this will be the platform to his legacy. It is exactly what we need. For now the system of play and purchases and other 'on field' stuff although important ( and will be communicated to the side) is not quite as critical as making the base right to take us forward. That is why I feel at this moment he is a godsend. Yeah, but it took him some time. As I say, he finished 16th and 17th in the league. The "Geordie faithful" won't stand for that. We'll have him booed out of the job by Christmas. Have faith brother. Destiny awaits...I am sure of it.

  11. Souness was never actually a good manager though, that is the difference Neither is Allardyce tbh. His team conceded more than Newcastle this year....and look at our defence. I wonder if you ever watched us when Keegan was in charge, we nearly won the league in a season and conceded loads yet played quite well and there was a plan B & even C As someone says, we never actually conceded that many, not as many as Roeder's (bare bones) team, and nowhere near as many as Allardyce's this season. Worst goal difference in the top half Bolton. One of only 2 teams whose GD is negative. Without Owen we've scored 37, without Anelka's goals they'd be on 35. Obviously a replacement would be drafted in for Anelka and they'd have scored a few, but I think people are deluding themselves if they think the gulf between Roeder and he is that huge. Allardyce has had a good few years to sort Bolton out (which Roeder never got here) and they finished 16th and 17th before he was able to move them up to top half finishes, he'll not get that chance here. Give over HP you still flogging this dead horse. Please don't call my opinion a dead horse, you think aliens killed JFK. And I respect it. Did they?
  12. At this moment in time he is precisely the right man.
  13. Yes Please. Get Carr to clean his boots.

  15. Damn! I never thought of that! we could have had Klinsmann stood on the steps of his home saying WTF??!?
  16. Sven. Does look like Allardyce, but I feel a surprise is in the air.
  17. Don't drink Skol mate its well diiiiiirrrtyy. Plus its only 3 % what yeh a little pussy boy.
  18. Ferguson's an absolute tool who pulls every trick in the book and Wenger's not much better tbh. I'd have them both here though. And a lot of the problem with people's percetpion of Chelsea is due to Abramovich's lolly imo. Not wanting a winning manager syndrome.
  19. I don't think he's got the first clue who to sign tbh.
  20. That's what I keep telling people. We're mid-table mediocrity who might push europe in a good year. Why are people calling for Roeder's head if he's only just fallen short of what the club is geared towards under Shepherd. Are you accepting that as our lot then? Recognising what we are currently is one thing, settling for it is quite another. Souness, Roeder or Allardyce. I put them all in the same bracket tbh. The revolving door policy on managers everyone knows would have been laughed out of town 10 years ago is what's got to stop. I'm not saying we can attract a top manager, but that I see keeping Roeder and getting Allardyce as having very similar outcomes. Neither involve us shooting up the league. I don't think you really beleive that Nicos. SA has done wonders at Bolton and it looks like Sammy will continue the good work with all the foundation that has been laid. FS imo clearly gave GR the job in some kind of holding capacity on a relatively short contract. I can only imagine this was a move so as to keep things relatively simple when the right man came along or he got a 2am call from Shearer. The right man has come along imo - not a fantastic manager, but a good one.
  21. Suddenly Zoggy has a big ego?!
  22. They have deffo spoken...Whether he will come or not is a diff matter.
  23. Having Emre doesn't help though right? As much as I dislike the player and will dance on the street if we can get rid of him, I would appreciate it if Emre was used in a way that he was a benefit for the team. He is an arsehole, but (theoretically) a decent player. The lack of service for the front men ... err man ... is very much down to the incompetence of Roeder to give the existing midfield any shape. They have not the first clue on how to play through the midfield. There have been momemts mainly with Dyer rotating and jinking around for a few minutes here and there....That they seem to come out of a deep sleep.
