It was pretty dissapointing bearing in mind the hype. The plot is as weak as fuck and ALL the characters are thinly drawn caricatures. Some of the stuff in the forest is alright. The thousands of cuts and wipes per scene left me feeling that it was a very lame attempt at emotion/sensation overcoming any kind of critical thought. [/farenheit451]. I sense the books might be pretty good mind as there was glimpses of deeper machinations that were just glossed over. 6.2/10 The book is excellent. Half the stuff in the movie is skimmed over. For example, the MockingJays are actually a breed of mocking bird and mutant bird that the Capitol had created. This mutant bird was send to the districts to spy on the inhabitants. Loads of detail like that which I wouldnt have had a clue about. I am about to start the sequel. Might order the book. As in a proper book, not a kindle or iwank or some other shite that irradiates ones pupils and cooks the coffee in the cup on the table while you're reading.

Read ages ago a study that looked into the correlation between the success of Manchester United & Liverpool and the fact that they both play in red. You can factor in Arsenal as well too. Not sure about black & white stripes but you have teams like Juventus who are used to success. I'd say keep the orange kit - it's so hideous that the opposition won't know what hit 'em. Like playing 11 goalies. Juventus bought and paid for refs for about a decade as well.

Interesting point there is research on it somewhere that wearing the alternate kit (diff colours etc) has a psychological effect when picking out your own players. It's another tiny advantage home teams get as well as being in front of their own crowd and so on...Think they found bold bright colours are better for team sports.
