1. that sounds horrendous catmag. im glad i only went to North Wales!! but did you have a good time? will you put some picicies up when you're sorted?
2. I noticed us girls are up and about bright and early...those lazy gits are all in bed i expect
3. god knows boys seem to have a passion for explosions, knocking things down and doing daft stunts!! i.e. as in Brainiac!! I cant see what so exciting about blowing things up
4. Buckfast Abbey is near me, i was there for a training day recently...great place. Not a monk in sight that day though
5. Thanks, at the moment its painful even to breathe, I'm pumped full of Co-codamol and Ibruprofen so laughing, sneezing and coughing are off the agenda ! managed my first post-operative wank lastnight, thankfully thats not been affected ! 135654 i did wonder....but i should have guessed you'd manage somehow!!
6. Thats rotten for you, and at exam time too Theres not much you can do except drink plenty of fluids (not alcohol though)! Try ice cream for your throat, its soothing. Hope you get better soon too jimbo, bet it hurts to laugh? ouch, ive got a low pain threshold, such a wimp!
7. No, that's selfish and defeats the point imo (no offence to anyone who's done it). Btw, my wife clocked my registry office next time comment in the other thread - not impressed. 135461 My sister had her's abroad and about 10 of us went. The members of the family who aren't so close missed out on a day of free food and drink. Big deal. Plus, it was probably cheaper. I think massive do's are a scandalous waste of money with people often getting into debt for their 'big day'. I just don't get that. And I'm not tight, I'd rather just spend the money in other ways. You get taken to the cleaners when you have a wedding in the UK as I'm sure you can testify to. 135466 You make a good point there, but then why have a wedding at all? Surely everyone you care about should witness it. Besides, wedding parties in resort hotels piss me off. I was unfortunate to be in the same hotel as a bunch of charvers getting married in St Lucia last year. 135470 I don't think it defeats the purpose. Personally, if I got married I wouldn't want many people there at all. I know it's a public declaration, but I think it's quite a personal thing. I'd be quite embarrassed by it all. No big white wedding for me and there would be no £60 a head lunch. Weekends for me will involve decorating my house - which I want to get started on but simply haven't had the time. 135517 Wowee...what a gal There's nowt wrong with a quiet register office wedding. It makes a lot of sense. Most blokes will find they do what the bride wants. Strange but a lot of blokes also quite like a big wedding too I would think, some lads I've known over the years have been pleased to have a big wedding, so its an individual thing but the bride calls the shots, if she wants a big wedding she will invariably get it. 135539 Tbh most people seem to completely miss whats supposed to be important about the wedding, the part about the two people (in theory at least!) making a commitment to spend the rest of their lives together. Thats whats supposed to be special. agreed 135547 ditto I cannot see the point in spending ££££'s on a wedding. I'd rather a simple registry office service and a get together after with just close family and friends. The whole meaning of it seems to be lost. I'm going to a big family wedding in July...im awaiting the wedding pressie list (those always seem a real bloody cheek to me)!! The wedding is in Broadway (cotswolds) and we have been told we can book to stay at the reception hotel at a cost of £150++ per night Yeah right! I have booked to stay in far more cosy and picturesque B&B nearby at a fraction of the cost Back to weekend pursuits.... Havent really got that 'end of season' feeling because of the world cup so close now. Im decorating the bathroom this weekend...or more like choosing colours and supervising Other than that we are away at weekends fairly regularly racing
8. yeah i have a copy, Its brilliant 'Me lucky cup hat' whilst im feeling all nostalgic now, i might take another look at 'My summer with Des' to get me in the world cup mood!!
9. thanks very much, was only helping hopefully you'll be referred to the VD clinic.....
10. But his life is for living....its short enough as it is, people like Sir Bobby are obviously not going to be content knitting, watching tv and pottering in the garden. Why should being 73 stop you from skiing anyway? Good on him i say...in actual fact you are more likely to live longer by keeping fit and active and mentally stimulated, which is why Bobby has done so well. 73 isnt really that old nowadays...i have clients in their 90's who are pretty fit and active. Thank god he had a slight accident. 135340 'clients' ? 135341 You can get that thought out of your head right now! I never know what to call them, i manage a sheltered scheme for elderly...the correct title for them is the god awful 'service user' Its pathetic!! Actually i normally just call them tenants...but that makes it sound like a own a massive block of flats!

12. i wouldnt reccommend sticking a drawing pin in it....you could get infection in there. If its a corn either go to a podiatrist and get it cut out or buy a corn plaster from a chemist or ask any old dear for one (they seem to have these things in bulk) A verruca is a wart, and can spread over the soul of your foot. get some cream (or a banana)!! from the chemist A verruca normally has a small black dot in the middle.....at certain stages verrucas are contagious, so no playing footsie with wacky until its cleared up!! More lovely info for you.......
13. He didnt look well of course, he looked tired and alittle frail i thought, but considering he's just had surgery its amazing he was there at all Well done Sir bobby

17. all we have down here is yellow day. Im missing all the fun Aside from this....one of my clients passed away a couple weeks ago, his funeral is tomorrow. After contacting family who live in the london area...i've spoken several times to the son in law on the phone. I detected the son has a slight north east accent, he told me he was born in Newcastle, but has lived down sarf for 20 years...he's a toon fan, but get this, the funeral will be a celebration of my client's life, no sombre colours or religious malarky....bright colours only, very casual if you please.....the son is wearing his TOON TOP
