They were just brilliant! Josh has to be the coolest man alive!! Shame the BBC's coverage couldn't be the same I watched the highlights of QOTSA on BBC3, then alittle later another track on BBC2....then even later most of their set on 301

Wish they were showing QOTSA live instead At least on one of the channels! On soon though.

Cheers! I allow myself the odd mistake, so I won't feel too much pressure. The real burden is gonna be keeping some of you lot in line. Some people on here are guilty of the most outrageous crimes against the English language, and I just won't have it, do you here me! Welcome! Thanks, TR. I've been lurking here for so long I feel I know most of you already. Nothing wrong with 'gonna' (it's called semantic bleaching). Just dont say 'I'm gonna the pub'! I'm thoroughly ashamed of writing 'here', though. Should have joined N-O instead. No stay here, we need new posters to liven the place up! Why have you not been tempted to sign up before then? This is just going from bad to worse! I'm getting off this thread before I make an even bigger fool of myself. I have been tempted before. Many times. The thing is, I've mainly been using this forum (and N-O) to keep up-to-date with what's going on at NUFC. I haven't been to Newcastle since I was about 10, but my dad's folks are all from Prudhoe so I feel part Geordie and I've been following the Toon from a distance since I was a nipper. I've spent the last 20 years living abroad, so sites like this one have been important to me. Then its way time you joined in! Have Fun GP.

Caught the end of her set: shit hot performer, don't get many acts these days with that level of showmanship, great entertainment. Yeah I disliked the type of music she sang.....but she entertained the crowd properly, so natural and confident. Brilliant voice. Great dancer too

I love some Muse songs, they're obviously very talented and a local band But...Matt Bellamy does not have Bono's voice. In fact Matt Bellamy's deep breathes annoy me after a while. Whereas Bono's voice carries so much emotion, its beautiful. I could listen to him singing 'Tomorrow' for ever!!!

Thanks alex It still worries me (and my son too of course) A close friend of mine has stage 3 CKD. A few years ago she had a similar incident to what happened to my son, thought no more of it, its only been recently that she was quite poorly that she went back and this was diagnosed. She's only 32 with 3 kids too

oh fo sho I look at the Glastonbury line-up and am completely unmoved by it. Beyonce? What is this? T4 on the Beach? Headliners for Glastonbury should be Classic rock/stadium acts and modern acts of the same ilk. Led Zeppelin and Muse. The Who and Radio Head. etc. Beyonce, Coldplay and U2? give me a fucking break. ........Have probably filled more stadiums all over the world than most bands. Plus Bono can actually sing. Id also like to see Metronomy (who are on soon I believe)

A couple years ago my son woke up with really awful abdominal pain...he was practically passing out doubled up in pain. Hubby took him hospital (I was at work) He did have to wait quite a while to be seen and laid across a couple seats, too ill to care really. But when he was seen they were very thorough. They expected appendicitis and even booked him a bed on the surgical ward. But after lots of tests and scans by the morning they were completely perplexed as to what had been the trouble. By then my son was feeling washed out but the pain had gone. The only thing that they found was that he had extremely high creatine(sp) levels in his kidneys...the levels were what you might possibly see in a very elderly patient not a fit young man. But my point is that the hospital were concerned enough about those results to keep my son in hosp all that week...monitoring his water intake and output, doing regular blood tests and more scans. Gradually his kidney levels went back to normal. They had suspected Kidney disease and he had to have his bloods tested every 3 months for a year after that. All has been normal so far. Sometimes extreme physical training, like athletes might do can up the creatine readings. My son had been working a lot of hours all that summer and then working on his new flat too each evening, he was shattered, whether that had anything to do with it we don't really know. It is a worry though. So surely if your results gave them any cause for concern they would have kept you in for further tests?

Quoted for truth. Re-imaged my mum's laptop a couple of months back and set her up with chrome as the default browser and she is working fine. That's just a note for the older posters who seem to have trouble moving forward. Cheeky git Though you're the one who's repeating yourself

I've gone to v5 and AA is right - it pisses all over v4. Little tip - Mozilla are absolutely dogshit at compiling upgrade packages. Best way to upgrade to the latest version is to completely remove the previous one: 1. Backup you bookmarks - go to Bookmarks > Show All Backups > Import & Backup > Backup - should save the file locally as a *.json file 2. Uninstall current Firefox version using 'Add & Remove Programs' 3. Click 'Start' & 'Run' and in the dialog box type '%userprofile%\Application Data' and click OK. In the explorer window that appears, highlight the Mozilla folder and delete it. 4. Click 'Start' & 'Run' and in the dialog box type '%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data' and click OK. In the explorer window that appears, highlight the Mozilla folder and delete it. 5. Install the new version of Firefox 6. Import your bookmarks - go to Bookmarks > Show All Backups > Import & Backup > Restore - find the *.json file you saved previously Job done Waits for son to come home later, shows him this thread........Job Done I think we're happy with this version though! If it ain't broke......
