  1. People who don't keep their dogs on a leash. And their dogs.
  2. And rightly so. Played 29 (1 as sub), 0 goals, 9 yellow cards, 1 red.
  3. Looking at where we've picked up points I don't see any reason not to expect points from the 3 home games in that lot.... We've not lost a game at home to anyone in the bottom half all season. So I'm confident of points there. Birmingham away would be a good place to get a win to seal it though. Thing is I'd be happier fighting this relegation battle above the relegation zone rather than in it. Our next fixture is Liverpool and we'll lose that so we can assume that by the following game we're going to be nearer to the drop zone than further from it. Following that up I really don't expect us to get anything against Birmingham at all-the danger with all that is that by then we're in a cycle of form where we're becoming serious strangers from picking up any points at all. Fulham follows that and while they're utter dog-shit, I think people under estimate how much the lack of wins might have affected belief by then. The mackems is looking like the best bet for me even though it'll no doubt be the most gruelling of the lot and thats just because its a derby and hence a free-for-all. It could go either way of course, but I'd take games that could go either way at the moment, rather than fixtures where people seem utterly convinced we'll win (wrongly in my view) or those that we know we almost certainly can't win (eg Liverpool). Can't see us dropping much lower, even if we lose next weeks fixture. Those who can jump us mathematically have to play Man City, Everton and Arsenal themselves. I give us as much of a hope as I give them. Reading will beat Man City at home IMO. And if we lose against Birmingham after the Liverpool game, we could well be 17th or 18th. Two or three home wins will see us stay in the PL, but I think it could get worse before it gets better...
  4. They're playing West Ham on Wednesday as well.
  5. It's got beyond a joke with Smith, he has to be the least dangerous striker in the league.
  6. Good interview, actually asking some interesting questions for a change.
  7. Nice title, too, how exactly is Keegan "on the brink"?
  8. This has actually cheered me up, you're right. I think we would have been fine if we had won today. We could be in the bottom three after the Liverpool game now though.
  9. Hopefully it won't be long before he gets another yellow card - he'll be suspended for two matches when he does.
  10. Having to listen to that fuckwit Mick Lowes makes it all even worse.
  11. Birmingham 2-0 up against Spurs, and for once I won't be happy to see Spurs lose.
  12. Honestly though, is Smith EVER going to score again?
  13. We may as well play Bombadil if that's the case. I'd do it for free.
  14. Chance for Smith! Whatever next?
  15. Good to see Jose get a start but that midfield, fucking hell all huff and puff. All graft and no craft. Story of our season, but that's what you get for buying overrated rubbish like Barton and Smith.
  16. It really is a must-win game. Viduka and Emre are still "injured", I guess that means Barton and Butt in midfield and Smith up front. God, it's depressing.
  17. If the bit about Hughton was true, it would be a shocking state of affairs, but I don't believe that for a second. I'm afraid they won't shut up about Keegan being underminded until this season is over and Keegan gets some serious money to spend on new players.
  18. I took part in a 5-a-side tournament last weekend. I got everyone on my team to wear a Newcastle shirt. Our record on Sunday evening read P7, L7, Goals For 11, Goals Against 31. Coincidence?
  19. At the moment I'm so worried I'd rather think about how we maintain our Premier League status.
  20. I know it's bordering on blasphemy, but if Keegan again starts Butt and Barton in the centre against Blackburn, you will have to question his sanity. Barton not only has no confidence whatsoever, he seems to have forgotten he's a professional footballer altogether.
  21. I thought Moyes' comment was funny. He's probably right too. How old is Martins supposed to be, 22? No way.
