Work in a chippy do you? No, for a newspaper covering the Basel region and - Lörrach.
-
To be honest, I know a thing or two about local/regional newspapers and the Chronicle is not a bad paper. It's just that Oliver is a pompous clown. But in a way you have to feel sorry for him - he did get a lot of inside information when he was Shepherd's mouth-piece, but he clearly hasn't got a clue what's going on at the club these days.

Coleman resigns as Sociedad boss
Bombadil replied to Dr Kenneth Noisewater's topic in Newcastle Forum
Aye. He was the only miserable cunt at St James Park last night, and that was after a win. Yes, he was... Reporter at the post-match interview: "You could see on the evidence of the last few hours just what can happen here, it's been an astonishing transformation in a matter of hours, don't you think?" Pearson: "In what sense?" Miserable bastard -
Who will be King Kev's 1st signing?
Bombadil replied to newcastleunited&proud's topic in Newcastle Forum
Most Sunday League midfielders would be better than Smith though. Hopefully Keegan will only play him in midfield if we're down to the bare bones. -
Not sure how much better Keegan is than Redknapp, tbh. How about 100 times?

I bet the sad wanker over at BBC Online is gutted.
-
God, you can tell this fella was raised on Vic and Bob and just wishes he was as wacky as them. By far and away the worst online commentator I've read on there.
-
Get in there The wanker commentating on the game for BBC Sport Online is just that, an utter wanker. Emre, you dickhead.
-
I'd put money on Phil McNulty. What a twat.
-
Agree, hopefully people will realise that.

I'm going to have a few drinks tonight

'Black Widow' Shearer answerable for Newcastle's demise
Bombadil replied to Barney's topic in Newcastle Forum
I agree with what the journo says about the Robson era, but to suggest that the current situation is Shearer's fault is a load of bollocks. If Allardyce had been successful and not sent out awful teams every week, he would still be in a job, it's as simple as that. It's nothing to do with Shearer. -
My head says it could go awfully wrong, but my heart says it's right!

you'd best add Camacho to that list. According to Marca he'll be our manager for 2008-09. My Spanish is non-existent, but if I'm reading that article correctly it says Camacho will take over in 2008/2009 after Newcastle started talks with him over the festive period, is that right?

Film/moving picture show you most recently watched
Bombadil replied to Jimbo's topic in General Chat
I finally got round to watching Lost In Translation last night, brilliant. Best film I've seen in a long time. -
You bastard, deleting your post. now my post makes nee sense I don't know what happened there tbh!
-
Can't look past Braga, he applied for the job by phoning the local hack, a wise man.

With the exception of a few outliers at both ends, the findings of this thread show a strong negative relation between overall points score and football knowledge.

...and in a reference to F. Scott Fitzgerald: The Great Fattie.

We have a winner Apparently Leazes has already placed his order.
-
Honestly man, just reading these quotes again is hilarious. He "took a call last night from the No 2 to a top Premier League manager putting their case", there's so much wrong with that
-
Alan Oliver clearly hasn't got a clue, in today's Chronicle he just repeats the Houllier rumour. He does however come out with a few classics...
-
Not a great transfer record by any stretch of the imagination tbh.
