  1. It was Paul Stretford who apparently had the office but he was sacked from Proactive. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3189791/How-Paul-Stretford-has-made-a-fortune-from-Wayne-Rooney-and-wife-Coleen.html
  2. To be completely honest mate I don't know, all I do know is that we will sell if we get an offer we think is too good to turn down so it depends on who is prepared to pay top price, apart from Ba of course who has the clause that we know of (i think he will go btw) The difference between this summer and last IMO is that we don't need a rebuilding squad so shouldn't need to sell unless it benefits us, like I said if the article is correct and we do turn a £10 million profit, add to that the sales of Simpson and Forster then that should give us the money to buy a right back and a centre back, which is what we really need.
  3. Not necessarily, there was an interview with Llambias around the time the financial results came out and the article said that the club forecasts a profit of £10 million for this season, so there's your transfer kitty.
  4. Yes and your logic was that we've won 7 out of 9 when Ba has played wide left so there isn't much room for improvement which is terrible logic. We've kept 5 clean sheets in the past 7 games Simpson has played so does that mean we should improve his position? As there isn't much room for improvement there either.
  5. But Ba would be unhappy if he was starting on the bench, which is where he would be if we bought someone who was an improvement on the left hand side, which was the point being made. Pardew admitted today that Ba has a clause in his contract and they are negotiating with him.
  6. *Wants to bring in someone close to Cabaye *A dominant centre back that will get us goals *A young centre back to bring on *Considering bringing in a set piece specialist *Guthrie is off as he wants first team football *Simpson's agent is a cunt Not sure if I've missed anything.
  7. It said on a French site yesterday that we were negotiating for him. PSG and Valencia interested too IIRC.
  8. Our great run at the start of the season was mostly with a strike partnership of Ba and Best up top, or how we've got so many clean sheets with Simpson a regular. So using that logic, should we really be looking to replace any of these players?
  9. Strangely I don't even remember him winning manager of the month this season.
  10. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2012/05/11/3095887/dempsey-to-miss-out-on-fulhams-end-of-season-clash-with
  11. I think the point he was trying to make was by replacing Ba with someone more suited with playing wide left in a 4-3-3 we could improve our attack even further, which surely has to be our aim if we can? I think Spurs will activate the buy out clause (presuming it exists) and that Ba will leave.
  12. So do you think Ba will be happy starting on the bench? I don't, I don't expect him to stay either if that's going to be the case, so I can see the logic in moving him on and bringing in someone more suited to playing wide left in the 4-3-3 role then bringing in a young guy as back up to Cisse.
  13. Dempsey is out of the Spurs game which will be a blow for our hope of them dropping points.
  14. I think he makes a valid point unless you think Ba would be happy with a squad role?
  15. It was on either the French or Italian version of goal.com
  16. Everton need to win to guarantee finishing above Liverpool. Will be a big motivator for them.
  17. Also Eljero Elia has apparently said he regrets turning us down for Juventus last summer and a mention about it possibly happening this year instead.
  18. One of the popular French sites (mercato365) say we're in negotiations for Mathieu Dubuchy as a replacement for Danny Simpson.
  19. We've signed a contract extension with puma. http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20120511/magpies-extend-puma-deal_2281670_2765670
  20. Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has rejected reports that Barcelona have agreed a fee for Gareth Bale. Spanish newspaper Marca on Friday morning suggested that Spurs had sanctioned Bale's departure to Camp Nou for a fee of 40million euros (£32million). Bale admitted last month that he would not be able to turn down a move to the Catalan giants and Barca defender Dani Alves said in a recent interview that the Welshman would fit in well with their squad. However, Redknapp insists the 22-year-old will not be leaving White Hart Lane this summer. "I don't know anything about [the story linking Bale with Barcelona]," insisted Redknapp. "I wouldn't think there is the slightest bit of truth in that. "Not a chance, I wouldn't have thought." Wales international Bale shot to prominence with a series of stunning displays in the UEFA Champions League last season and has caught the eye again for Spurs this term. http://www1.skysport.../11095/7748745/
  21. I think there are question marks over his defending but going forward he is very good.
  22. The French press linking us with Cissokho again for the 3rd window running.
  23. I used to love going to the pub when England were playing in my younger days but I think the current bunch of cunts don't make me want to cheer. Agree with Gemmill about Hodgson btw.
  24. According to reports Tottenham Hotspur are in pole position to land Wigan Athletic winger Victor Moses. Ladbrokes claims Moses may well be playing his last game for the Latics when they take on relegated Wolves at the DW Stadium. It is understood that Spurs are leading the race for the Nigeria international given they are the most likely club to offer Champions League football. Liverpool and Newcastle United are also believed to be in the running and the finishing place of the latter may well determine their bargaining power. http://www.clicklancashire.com/sport/wigan-athletic-fc/1212362-spurs-lead-liverpool-and-newcastle-united-in-chase-for-wigan-athletic-ace-moses.html
