  1. Chances are that we won't in terms of league places, that is down to the strength and resources of the top clubs up and around us rather than because we're letting Simpson and Guthrie go tbf.
  2. All 3 of them have had decent spells this season, especially Guthrie but I do wonder how much of that is down to Pardew getting the best out of them. Llambias did say that Pardew wanted better coming off the bench so you can see the logic in cutting the squad players, Pardew seems to rate Simpson however to me he's the weakest link in the starting 11.
  3. Hodgson's final game managing them so hopefully they're up for it to give him a good send off.
  4. There can't be many of our players that haven't been linked with moves away this summer Jonas and Steven Taylor might the only one staying at this rate.
  5. It will go on boxnation I would of thought, Frank Warren launched it and is Chisora's promoter. Sky don't do PPV boxing anymore.
  6. Bart Simpson wallpaper ffs
  7. Top tier seats £50 and floor seats £100. He's having a laugh.
  8. To be fair to Haye he was at the press conference where the fight broke out attempting to get a fight with Vitali so he was looking to come out of retirement anyway.
  9. My defence is I went to watch it without knowing any back story to the characters like some people who get giddy because they grew up with the comic books. It was a very average film, one that I wouldn't watch again if it was on tv.
  10. I should probably point out that I'm not a comic book nerd that gets excited by men in tights if that helps.
  11. I've gone past the stage of hating on Shola and have just accepted he's going to be here forever. I feel much better for the inner peace too
  12. This definitely! When we get linked with a play and you look him up on wikipedia to find out you were 12 when he was born
  13. I watched the Avengers over the weekend, it was alright but nothing anywhere close to the hype. Not as good as the X-Men films and more Fantastic Four level.
  14. If Liverpool win tonight then 5th is ours at least.
  15. Some potentially exciting news for Sunderland now Emile Heskey has been told he won't be offered a new deal when his current one expires in the summer.
  16. Just had an email through for tickets from eventim for the Haye figth, not looked at prices. Also Khan's rematch with Peterson is in jepordy as Peterson failed a random drugs test for synthetic testosterone.
  17. We could get rid of them up top, bring in one striker and still improve quite a bit.
  18. It's the Worzel Gummidge facial expression that I find strange.
  19. David Gill provides an interesting footnote. Manchester United CEO Gill was one of the participants in the "Business of Sports: Winning Off the Field" panel. One thing he mentioned which caught the attention of those in attendance was that there were new owners of a PL team who didn't know about relegation. "Not sure what the due diligence was there," stated Gill of said owners. I later spoke to Gill directly to clarify erroneous rumors spreading on Twitter that Gill was in fact alluding to Fenway Sports Group's purchase of Liverpool. Gill categorically denied that he had been referencing or inferring that it was FSG in any form and said that he held Liverpool's owners in the highest regard. "I would never say anything negative about John W Henry, ever." However, when I put it to Gill that the party he was in fact referring to was Venky's (it's long been believed in some quarters of the industry that the mechanics of relegation was just one among various things Venky's were unaware of when acquiring Blackburn), Gill said nothing but gave a broad smile. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/soc...#ixzz1tQL4Hjdc
  20. I'm not sure if he feels a dick but having to go between the sticks while the crowd were mocking him must have been the lowest point of his career. Worse than relegation even.
  21. Anyone else watching Mayweather vs Cotto? Just about to start.

  23. Although if we beat City and either Arsenal or Spurs drop points this weekend the laid back feeling might change
  24. Even though we've got a good chance with only 2 games to go I don't feel any pressure on us or that it will be a failure if we don't make it, it's a nice feeling to be where we are whatever the outcome.
  25. To come through the group stages of the Europa and a top 7 finish, which will hopefully lead to us qualifying for it the year after.
