Martins has been good though imo with the scraps he's had. Not wasteful at all. And Zog's fintness level must be unreal! He's been up running with the ball and down chasing the ball almost all first half!

Didnt he get bumped up to higher wages just last season or the one before? nufc.com say his contract runs until June 2009... so I guess it'll be sometime this season. No odubt his agents will pick a moment during this season when he puts 3-4 solid great performances together to bring it up. Certainly want him to stay, great prospect.

Huh! Interesting... I don't think it's a big surprise, if you were him and then heard Arsenal were interested after the season we had last year would you want to stay? Well I hate Arsenal, so wouldnt want to play for them, no Anyway, not blaming him at all. Just that you rarely get to hear what people really think in football, even in hindsight, so it's interesting that's how he was feeling last year. If anything, I guess, it's a credit to his professionalism that he kept his head down and kept scoring.

Agreed... don't really understand all the hating. Like "Given would have saved it" etc... That was typical Beckham. Sure some top flight keepers might have saved it... but also many many would've gotten nowhere near it, anticipating the wrong way or not. A class goal in its own right.
