I've only ever watched season 1 (+ the first 3 eps of season 2). It is indeed very great. Apparently the Americanism caught up with it soon after though. It's a shame.

By the way, they're going to have some sort of minute silence at the start and maybe another type of 'homage' because the top French commentator died yesterday at 49. Might affect the French players' performances too in some way.
