If the talk that Viduka will only cost a couple of million is true, I think it could be a very good buy for us.
-
Whilst I have never been overly impressed by Milner, I fail to see the logic in letting yet another player leave... We are already flapping about defenders and strikers but if we keep this up expect to see plenty of Pattison, O'Brien, Ramage and even Lee Clark this season.

BTW where has this news come from?
-
Dirty bastard but a much better player than Carr, could probably get a game for us at centre half too..
-
If 15 million was our budget, I would much rather have seen it spent on several cheaper players that would have strengthened the whole squad than to have had only 2 brought in. Much like the best part of 30 million we spent last year on Luque and Owen the money could have be spent far more wisely.

I cant believe we may be going into the season in a position where we could have done with the likes of Chopra and Elliott as part of our squad..
-
Agree with the last few posts. Surely if we had been clever enough with the bosmans and done some wheeling and dealing we could have been going into the season with quite a strong squad. Even if money is an issue when the likes of Trabelsi are available on a bosman, we could always have offered Carr on a free to other clubs just to get him off the wage bill and got Trabelsi in at no extra cost.

Have seen little of him since the World Cup, but he was in great shape during the summer..

They are also linked with Tevez in previous reports from today..

Not that I wanted him but I see SSN are reporting Euells joing Boro also. So thats Boro signing up Euell, Huth and Woodgate in a couple of days. I have also read that Malbranque and Chimbonda might be joining Mido at Spuds. Seems other clubs can sign up players to their squads easy enough. Surely we have not blown all our transfer budget on two players?

How the fuck are we going to go through a season with only Ramage, Taylor, Bramble, Moore, Carr and Baba? At least 4 of them are prone to picking up quite a few niggly injuries over the season. *Plus the majority are average or shite*

The best thing about missing out on Gravesen is that I don't have to cope with the all mongs who write it Graveson all the time... 186914 Graverson has left Celtic without agreement - acording to BBC 186917 Gravasan can't sign for them until Petrov goes to Villa. It's still on though. 186921 According to reports up here its to do with his medical, as there are still slight problems with his knee. They are still in talks etc though and Gravesen was "Hopeful" a deal will go through.
-
Who would you partner Woodgate with if we got him? Tightarse or Taylor? 186674 Probably Bramble with Taylor at right-back at the minute. 186675

Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly fighting it out for Egyptian striker Hossam Mido's services. The 23-year-old performed impressively in his 18-month loan spell at White Hart Lane from January 2005. But he has since returned to parent club Roma, turning down the opportunity to join Blackburn Rovers in favour of resurrecting his career at the Stadio Olimpico. Despite his apparent desire to remain in Serie A the links with English sides refuse to die down. Rumours of a rift with coach Luciano Spalletti have fuelled the speculation, and the Italians have refused to rule out the possibility that he may return to England. With the transfer deadline looming large on Thursday, Glenn Roeder and Martin Jol's men could yet make loan move for the Giallorossi striker.

I think everyone would, I think the point was that whilst we don't have another left back in the squad he is a better option at LB than Baba..
