1. Why am I not surprised to see this thread...
2. Brock will be sat at the PC all evening, logged into messenger awaiting your return...
3. http://www.sportnetwork.net/main/s70/st103469.htm?fromrss=1
4. 189596 He says they are free but I heard hes charging to scrape together the rest of the money he owes me...
5. 189522 They have taken that off the website now..
6. Bob Malcolm, Marvin Andrews, Jose Pierre-Fanfan have also been released today by Rangers... Roeder!! Don't even think about it...
7. Seeing as he plays more in midfield than up front, has he been brought in to allow Jimmy Milner move to Villa, its something that would not surprise me at all...
8. Fuck sake, I never thought I would see the day in which Sunderland signed a better striker than us, I would rather have had Dwight Yorke tbh...
9. To be fair seeing as we stepped aside to let Celtic sign Gravesen and let Liverpool sign Kuyt I heard whilst both of them were interested they felt it was right to let us sign him...
10. And if we get many injuries and suspensions it could be a long hard season of watching O'Brien, Huntington, Pattison, a Man Utd reserve and a striker who shows less heart than Marcelino or Domi... + I hope Roeder has our reserve full backs training with the first team as they are going to be needed at some point by the looks of things.
11. Yes we spent 15 million but we got about 6.5 in through transfers out plus we have saved quite a fair whack in wages from Shearer, Bowyer, Boum, Faye and Elliott leaving. I think once the books have been balanced out our actual spend this summer has been very minimal, just further highlights the appointment of Souness and the financial backing from Shepherd has got us into. On a similar note to the cutting back this year, its looking increasingly like everyones concerns of Roeder getting the job as a cheap option are probably true too.
12. Depending how the season goes, if its all going pear shaped, I think it will be Freddies head thats being called for this time...
13. Former England manager Sir Bobby Robson is making good progress after a small tumour on his brain was removed. It was found when he was taken to hospital after falling ill during a match at Ipswich earlier this month. The 73-year-old had the operation last week and a statement from his agent said he was in good spirits and does not need follow-up treatment. But a slight swelling on his brain has caused temporary movement loss on his left side and he is still in hospital. Robson had a lung tumour removed earlier this year and has had cancer surgery on two other occasions. 'Slight swelling' The statement released on Thursday said: "Sir Bobby Robson continues to make good progress after major surgery which involved complete re-section of a tumour from the motor cortex part of his brain. "Thankfully he does not require any follow-up chemotherapy or radiation treatment. "Sir Bobby is in good spirits and talking about his recovery. He is out of bed, enjoying reading the papers, watching television and listening to the radio to keep up to date with the latest football news. "However, he has a slight swelling on his brain which is causing a temporary loss of movement in part of his left leg and left arm. This is being treated with physiotherapy. He will therefore remain in hospital for the time being." Robson is currently a consultant for the Republic of Ireland side. He led England as coach to the 1990 World Cup semi-finals and had a successful managerial career at Ipswich Town. He also managed Barcelona, PSV Eindhoven, Sporting Lisbon, FC Porto and Newcastle United.
14. Milner better turn that car back round and head for Birmingham...
15. Now that Sky have reported that the Cole deal might be going through whats the odds we get straight on the phone to Milner and send him packing once more in the hope we can get Bridge...
16. Talksport are supposed to have said that a whole host of premiership clubs were offered the 'deal' that West Ham were, but all of them, including Portsmouth, rejected the offer out of hand...
17. He stated that the only reason he didn't come to England when he had the chance was the fact that he wanted to play in the Champions League. 188993 Well going from the interviews and coverage up here I have seen him say numerous times that the move to Rangers was a "dream move" as they were his boyhood heroes etc. I have also seen him say he would love to play at the club for the rest of his career, though I do realise if hes not in Le Guens plans this could change..
18. He is a diehard Rangers fan, he won't be going anywhere..
19. Well there is not much chance of that happening as hes off to Yorkshire (?) for a few days. I have to keep him posted on whats happening by text messages, mind I haven't had to send many, well not where we are concerned...
20. Aye but we've got Martins who will play and Viduka would be a better partner for him. I'd probably rather have had Cole, Anelka and a defender or two for what Martins and Viduka would cost but that's done with now. 188738 Agreed, though I am still hoping that Luque may be allowed to go to Espanyol, if that thread further down about them being interested is true, and we may yet see some strengthening at the back.
