Werder Bremen striker Boubacar Sanogo has told the club that he is willing to leave if he does not get more first-team football. Sanogo has made just one start in the Bundesliga this season, while coming off the bench seven times and scoring one goal in the process. The Ivory Coast international has been linked with a move to French giants Marseille while Newcastle, Portsmouth and Blackburn are all said to be monitoring the situation. The 26-year-old joined Bremen from fellow German side Hamburg in 2007 but has failed to nail down a regular position during his time at the club. "If they do not want me any more, they should be fair and tell me," Sanogo told reporters. "I don't feel any trust in me since coming back from the African Cup of Nations last year and I need to get more playing time. "I would love to stay on, but if I do not get my games I have to move on. I would even join a smaller club." Despite the striker threatening to walk out on the club, Bremen general manager Klaus Allofs has stated that they have not received any bids for the Ivorian. Allofs even stated that the club would not sell their man anyway despite his current stance. "We are unhappy about his progress, but we are positive on his abilities," said Allofs. "That is why we are not going to put him up for sale. We are still in Europe and we are going to need four strikers for that. We are not keen on letting him leave." Allofs also pointed out that the club were willing to let Austrian international Martin Harnik and Bosnian youngster Said Husejinovic go out on loan in order to get regular first-team football.

I'm still conflicted. You're only as ambitious as your last transfer window, and there's only been one complete transfer window since the current scouting system was set up. In it we broke our transfer record for a defender, got some quality at knock down prices and pulled in £12M for a non-international. Ashley is a lying twat bag, who's got a lot of stuff badly wrong, but I'm still not as pissed off with his transfer dealings as many seem to be. The £12m was good business, if you get 50% of success with your signings you do well, I will not argue with any of that, but he is a liar, and he did say at some point early on that he wanted young european players as the foundation of the team and then he goes and sells Milner. He wants to move the club forward etc etc, and we can quote forever the lies he has told, but things like 3 year contract for shola, and the management saying they're all up for sale at a price just makes you wonder. Even if he had the most important and best player that won you games every week he would still be up for sale at a price. Let's face it we're a selling club! I am pissed off at turning up at SJP with no real ambition that we will win a game, and then after 90 minutes feeling so fed up. THe day normally starts ok with a few beers and meeting mates and family, turns sour for 90 minutes, but get a welcome pickmeup with afew more beers. It's only the bit in the middle that has the potential of spoiling a good day. The guy will continue to run it his way, sell, sell, and sell with no real ambition for success on the field, simply a feeder club for whoever bids the highest. He will continue to tell his customers sod all and will get away with it all because the majority will continue with their support. Apart from Milner who have we sold that we have not replaced?

And no matter how hard I try I cant see the fun in getting knocked out in the Quarter finals while bottom of the League. Am I correct in saying that we could actually get to the quarters and not be bottom of the league? -

I think Carroll has a better strike record. 53 appearances for CSKA scoring 30 goals in total and having played in the Champions League. Aye some will argue that their league is inferior but Carroll and Shola couldn't even score in the Championship. Yet both can in the premiership. Aye they are both quality players, what was I thinking? Isn't Jo on 100k a week?? Dunno, but if he is its a bargain. Only 30k more than Duff

At least this window isnt running the same as last one

Aye every player has his price but I do not think its as clear cut as Ashley will let anyone go for peanuts. He got 7 for Parker, 7 for Dyer, 12 for Milner, 2.9 for Rozenhal etc. The one thing he has not been is a mug when selling players. Aye like everyone else I have huge question marks over if the money would actually be reinvested and I realise how fucked we would be if he didn't, however give or take 5 maybe 6 players if you are lucky in our squad I couldn't care less if the others went. Players like Duff on 70k, Butt on 40k, Geremi on 45k Viduka..... etc etc even Barton although he is one of our better players is a joke at 60k. We have very average players (arguably one of the worst midfields in the league) on top team money. Again though as I said the real proof will be if any money or players brought in (as the like of Bassong has shown you do not alwyas have to have the big name players) and how they perform. -
Unhappy Spurs star Bent targets Newcastle or Everton move

I can see Spurs offering him to us in exchange for Owen tbh. We were talking about this in the pub yesterday. I think Harry would be up for it and in the longer term would be a great deal for us... -

After an eventful week, the Spaniard is set to return to hospital for another operation on his kidney stone problem. (News of the World) Agent Pini Zahavi is heading a consortium which is lining up a Premier League club and make former Chelsea boss Avram Grant as manager. Newcastle and Portsmouth are the main targets. (Sunday Express) Zahavi is already smiling following Wayne Bridge's move from Chelsea to Manchester City, as he pocketed £900,000 in commission. (Sunday Mirror) Sunderland are still considering appointing a big-name manager in the summer, despite handing Ricky Sbragia an 18-month deal at the end of last year.
