  1. Anyone want a ticket for the Everton game... In all seriousness this is happening too often for me to justify my season ticket. I had the chance to buy my train ticket for a fiver but held off incase it got moved. When Sky and Sultana announced their fixtures up until the start of March (a few weeks back) I booked my train only to see it once again get moved randomly much like the West Brom fixture. I would be just as well becoming an armchair/internet stream supporter....
  2. That's what worries me. We can't afford to not invest heavily next summer imo. I've been saying for a while that while we could go this season, I think we'll actually be ok, whereas I really fear for our premier league status come the end of next season. You've got Viduka and Owen away for a start plus the likes of Given possibly leaving and they'll be hard to replace (Owen and Given especially) and then you have to get more bodies in on top of that (and on top of whoever else may leave). I don't trust the old regime to do it and even with the best will in the world any new owner(s) will find it tough going given the time constraints. Its ok Alex we will still have the likes of Cacapa, Guthrie, Butt, Duff, Ameobi and Carroll...
  3. I know alot of it is based on speculation but if the news sources are correct in alot of their reports just who does want to remain at the club? The club seemingly wants to offload the likes of Xisco, Cacapa and Enrique. Geremi, N'Zogbia and Given supposedly want away. Butt and Harper are yet to sign new contracts and it looks like Viduka and Owen will be off at the end of the season. Barton and Smith are wanted by Portsmouth and Everton Martins may not have said he wants away yet but today there are reports today of his agent slagging the club off. We have no permanent manager and an owner who wanted to get rid of the club so question marks over how committed he is to the cause. We have over the last few years looked like we were in danger of going down etc, but is this the most worrying time we have had since we returned to the top flight?
  4. Ferguson will have signed by then
  5. Membership at the Cameron House fitness centre...
  6. I am hearing wee whispers that this may be happening...
  7. He must now beat McClen for luckiest player at NUFC. He could be at the club until hes 30! Tbh I think its a shrewd move by the club as I reckon we will still try and punt him in the summer, just this way we could actually see a fee rather than him walk away for nowt...
  8. I think Butt is just about finished but I don't know who should play ahead of him in all honesty when Barton is out. Whilst he has legs older than Snakehips I would play Geremi. He had the most assists last season and even this year despite his woeful free kicks etc has played some canny passes/assists..
  9. Whilst he continues to play Nicky Butt in the starting 11 I still struggle to find any positives about the man. His decisions costing us the Stoke game also highlighted how tactically naive he really is...
  10. He's been there a year and they have managed to accept another £7.5m on the price tag. Top Spurring. The fee is probably bumped up due to the sell on clause they had...
  11. Looks like Pompey are doing their best to help us stay up...
  12. She ran away with Andy Murray...
  13. Newcastle United boss Joe Kinnear is making a move to bring Pedro Mendes back to the Premier League. Kinnear has asked Rangers - via an agent - if he can take the former Portsmouth and Tottenham midfielder on loan with a view to a £1.5million move. Mendes has done well for the Glasgow club since joining from Pompey in August, but Kinnear has heard he is interested in coming back to England for a better standard of football. Rangers are under pressure to trim their wage bill and offload players, but they would want a guaranteed sale for Mendes if Newcastle come up with the cash up front. Mendes, twice capped by Portugal, would give the Magpies some much-needed options in central midfield. Rangers are also a target for Bradford City boss Stuart McCall, who is returning to his old club to try to snap up right-back Jordan McMillan in a cut-price deal. The teenager has been told he can leave Ibrox and is wanted on loan by Scottish Premier League rivals Hamilton Academical, but McCall hopes to talk him into coming to England. The Bantams already have McMillan's friend Dean Furman on an extended loan and he is also pushing their case to the Glasgow youngster.
  14. Well he keeps playing Nicky Butt for a fucking start....
