Maybe we will be lucky enough to see Cacapa and Butt in the middle of the park again....whooohooo
-
I think he will def be off but it will not get announced until the summer leaving us another six months of will he/won't he sign a new contract in the press everyday. The only small chance we have of him staying on is if a new owner comes in and appoints Shearer..
-
Aye there isn't many players kicking about in January but Pompey done good business last year in Diarra and Defore...

This is the problem I've been having with the demo.... couldn't play it at all. Apparantly there will be a patch released tomorrow that might solve this problem. However, Sports Interactive has been very vague about if this patch will actually solve the problems of having a graphics card that is less than 128MB. Hopefully they'll just introduce an option to disable the 3D pitch mode. You can do that in the options anyway? Can't even open the game. A lot of others are having the same problem it looks like. Ahh... I disabled it within the first 5 minutes. Not a fan of it at all...

Looks better than the white disc, plastic sleeve version I got at the weekend... I've got a lot of work in for later in the week so I won't be installing it until Friday. Tell me about it mate, due to a heavy workload (two magazines to be finished by the start of next month) I am no further on in it than I would be with the demo...

This mentality needs to be adopted to be honest. He's gone and he's not coming back. I just want a decent manager and some stability now. No guarantee of that with Shearer. No guarantee of that with anyone tbh... -

Unless we get taken over by someone with funny money I think it could be Big Al. Right now the hype about bringing in "Jonny Foreigner" has completely died down and if you are talking about experienced and the best of British (MON, Redknapp and Moyes etc - debatable I know) all looking settled I could see us going along with the new hype of giving a young British managers who have been getting a shot (the likes of Southgate, Adams, Keane..) and giving Shearer his big chance. I am not saying it is what I would def do but it is what I could see happening. If it does I just hope he brings in some experienced backroom staff with him. -
If and when a takeover of the club goes through, who do you see as possible (realistic) targets for the club?

So Cacapa makes a mistake and he shouldn't be allowed near the team ever again yet Taylor can fuck up week after week and I suppose its ok for him to be back in the squad next week? Scapegoat-tastic The majority of the team were fucking woeful. No... you're missing my point entirely. Steven Taylor is gash IMO, yet for some reason, if he's fit, seems to get in the squad week in, week out without fail. Yesterday provided an ideal opportunity, for someone (Cacapa in this event) to offer cast-iron evidence as to why Taylor should be over-looked. He failed to prove it IMO. Aside from that, my reasons for not selecting him again go beyond the 90 mins yesterday. Whenever he's played I don't think our back 4 have ever had an ounce of confidence. Sadly don't rate him despite having high hopes when he came from Lyon. Well up until the infamous Pompey game where the media labelled him the new Bramble/Boumsong alot of people rated him. This thread in particular.. http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...5&hl=cacapa Aye he had a howler that game and who knows if he we carrying a knock or not as had been said afterwards but I believe that he got back into the squad against Fulham and picked up the Man of the Match. He then went on to not see much 1st team football under Keegan as Taylor and Faye were first choice centre backs and then this season again with Colo and Taylor. Don't get me wrong I am not fighting his corner to be a 1st team starter week in, week out I just fully believe that he has not made half the howlers he supposedly has, and has become yet again another centre back scapegoat for us...
-
Aye he would probably have halfed Johnson in two conceding a penalty before Colo had a chance to get near him....
-
Because half the crowd would rather act like they are at a pantomime than get behind the team....

*Tin hat on time* Most people on here know my stance on the Old Firm and how I have no affiliation to either side but it amazes me time and time again to see the same old prejudiced views tarring them all with the same brush... As we are adults and trying to post this, without it turning into another childish bitchfest which will result in kicking the arse out of the use of c*nt etc, I honestly cannot grasp why people have to class and stereotype the supporters of other clubs all as one. Maybe I have been whooshed and its all WUM but I cannot get my head around the fact that "adults" especially on football forums have such prejudiced viewpoints... Whilst I have no time for sectarianism I also have no time for some of the people I have sat around at St James Park who I have heard talk about Kenny Miller being a dirty fenian bastard etc when he played against us for Derby last season, nor do I have time for the racists who chant abuse, like the clown who sat behind Alex in the West Ham game but I am not naive enough to claim everyone at St James Park is a racist or a bigot. Yes the Old Firm both may have more than a minority but to slate every one of their supporters is ridiculous. Believe it or not there are actually many who are just like you and I...football supporters and go for the love of the game.
