  1. Theres lots of journalists who are more than capable of pushing whatever troll-like line they want. Not everything that addresses issues from a perspective other than the peeved fan is Ashley propaganda. Bit of a digression but I was having a drink with a Sheff Wed fan 3 weeks ago, he says 'isnt it about time you lot layed off Ashley'. (My reply for the record was 'he fucked off Kegan, appointed Joe Kinnear and relegated the 14th biggest club financially in the world, might take a bit more than 6th place in February for people to get past that'). The point being, the perspectives of others, including journalists, doesnt always start from the same emotional place as for the majority. It could well be the club put that out there, for me they dont need to as i see us as maximum 13.2m up off Caroll anyway, not including increased operational spend. I can see why they might want people to add it up though when some muppets are still talking about 35m being missing, it doesnt exactly suggest a financially literate fan base. it seems some muppets still don't recognise the strategy of 2nd rate selling clubs whrn it hits them right between the eyes.
  2. I've made my views of the long term results on the clubs setup and strategy, I'm 100% sure that time will prove me correct , I've explained this for a long time now and I'm not explaining it again. Have you read the link to the article, its about the sale of Carroll, not Krul and Colo [although why anybody thinks these contracts means they will see them out is beyond me at the moment].
  3. and how long have you "supported" the club ?
  4. so they sell their best players to pay the contracts of others, and this is how they are in the Champions League and their turnover has overtaken ours in the last 4 years ? Yes, they have a history of selling players for inflated fee's and building, onwards and upwards. See Carrick, Berbatov for expensive examples.(same as all the succesful clubs do). what a load of crap.

    S**t List

Well, my 18 month contract with BT is up in 2 weeks [which I took out because it was a half price offer and I got the installation of the line for half price too] and they can fuck right off after the bother I had, and the increased price it will be, because I'm changing to o2
  6. this is just, so so so obvious, it's unbelievable that anybody can defend it at all.
  7. please tell us when Spurs have sold their best players to pay the wages of other players, as you constantly harp on about them and tell us how we are doing things like they are now ? Then make a post or two about football, if you can. All the time, they record profits on player trading every fucking year. Loon so they sell their best players to pay the contracts of others, and this is how they are in the Champions League and their turnover has overtaken ours in the last 4 years ?
  8. arguably, yes. they knew other clubs were interested in him and signed him to a long term deal just months before selling him for a vastly inflated fee. It's the only thing clubs can do to at elast give them any measure of control over players leaving. Pay top whack or fuck off (or way over the top whack in Carroll's case). is this a spectaclar u-turn in the making here ?
  9. Was Carroll's new contract aimed at hiking up the transfer fee? arguably, yes. they knew other clubs were interested in him and signed him to a long term deal just months before selling him for a vastly inflated fee. which has now been stated officially by the club to have disappeared.
  10. Perhaps to the clinically insane. and you're an expert on NUFC ? Fuck off you arsehole.
  11. I believe the wage structure is set as a % of turnover, if the income goes higher, so can (and will) the wages. It's not a ceiling based on a cap at any particular weekly wage level. please tell us when Spurs have sold their best players to pay the wages of other players, as you constantly harp on about them and tell us how we are doing things like they are now ? Then make a post or two about football, if you can.
  12. do you seriously think that NUFC should be selling their best players to meet so called "operational costs" ? Do you seriously not understand this ?
  13. so a club like NUFC - with the 14th biggest revenues in football - have to sell their best players to fulfill what should be operating costs of the level such a club ought to be able to compete at ? How much revenues does a club need exactly to not have to do this? As I've said for years - for which certain people have said is rubbish, this is one of the areas where the distinct lack of ambition is as obvious as the nose on your face, it is such obvious bollocks it's staggering people don't get it. Even the likes of Toonspac are still insisting we are doing "things like Spurs", well Spurs haven't done anything like this in the past 5 years, to quote their own example. What a load of utter shite this club is becoming. LM, lets face it, MA could pave your drive in Gold and you would complain thats it's too slippy. Clearly fuck all the club can do that you will see as a positive. You must really hate football these days. sorry, but it only re-inforces what I've said for years and It's absolutely amazing that people are falling for this crap.

What a load of utter shite this club is becoming. So rewarding two of our best players with massive long term contracts shows that we've no ambition? read the post properly, and expand your brain for a change. I'm not explaining this again, I've done it for a long time now and it ought to be obvious.
  15. I've gave up trying to educate JSM, and one or two others, and will try and avoid "hijacking" threads by taking the piss out of certain people, but this is a genuine article aimed at the weekend developments, and the conclusions to be seen from it should be obvious to everyone. I don't suppose it will stop one or two idiots continuing to say I'm spouting bollocks though even though I've been pointing out exactly what is happening here for a number of years now.

  17. I'm wondering when Cisse is going to turn up, tbh. Much hype, not much to show. He was poor again on saturday, like against Wolves. They are also playing Ba deeper and his contribution is also less than before. Needs sorting out.

  19. apologies if someone else has posted this over the weekend. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Exclusive-Newcastle-Mike-Ashley-spends-cash-to-extend-Fabricio-Coloccini-and-Tim-Krul-contracts-article873902.html
  20. and, in spite of all this, they still backed their managers and qualified for the Champions League, and as a result finished in the top 4 on 3 occastions. Can't wait for soopa Mike to do the same. So where is the Carroll cash ?
  21. even JSM would rival you in the perception and knowledge of NUFC stakes.
  22. I really don't believe that JSM is 38 years old. 38 months maybe ? I think he is also on the brink of a Baggio-type strop here.
  23. Most would agree in principle but do you GENUINELY believe we will see the rest of that money? It wouldnt surprise me if the crook in charge is syphoning whats left off fraudulently or if a new Sports Direct superstore pops up somewhere! Ah well, it'll show up in the club accounts then, won't it? How do you mean "see the money"? Do you mean used solely for player purchases? I doubt it. Some of it will but some of it will undoubtedly be swallowed up in overheads / wages / etc. between 20 and 25m quid "swallowed up in overheads/wages/etc" ? Surely not the actions of the club with the 14th biggest revenues in football ?
