Andrew 7475
Today also marks a year since my beloved Nissan Fuga bit the bullet courtesy of an old man not stopping at a junction. Can't remember if I ever shared pictures here, if I did it wasn't in this thread. I fucking loved this car, my Mercs fine but a bit dull.

I briefly had a nissan badge shaped mark on my arm from the steering wheel airbag going off and smashing the cover of the wheel into my arm. But otherwise nope, I went into his driver door at 50kmh (honest officer) and we both walked away, other bloke was in his 80s.
Howmanheyman 43931
That looks like it could've been a lot worse for yourself, passengers and the old man.
Andrew 7475
Definitely could be. Alas that was the end of my favourite car (so far).

Bit too expensive, that engine is in quite a lot of cars though and was mostly why I loved that car so I've a few skylines on my watchlist currently to see how they go.

Fully sick bro, when you get one, I'll race you in my HR (fuck off Scotty). Again, NZ grey imports will be your friend Andrew.

Not sure how anyone walked away from that relatively unhurt.

Aye most of the cars we've had here have been imports, the really interesting JDM stuff has been absolutely skyrocketing in price the last few years sadly. Glad you both came out of that relatively unharmed. Nasty accident by the looks of it.
Andrew 7475
Had a look at a couple of things today, nothing really floating my boat. Going to look at a BMW 130i tomorrow which (if its in decent nick) I think will be the one

Howmanheyman 43931
Car looks canny Andrew but is your lawn mower broke? (Looks like the eldest is moving out again so I'm just getting a bit of practice in for when her lad let's their garden go again).
Gemmill 63192
Double drive. Double garage too, Andrew? Must be mint living somewhere with actual space. I mean we've got space over here but it's all owned by the fucking landed gentry and we have to cram ourselves into what's left.

We've got a bloke who comes to do the lawns every couple of weeks, they are immaculate tyvm.

Yeah, it is one of the best and clearest differences about living here compared to the UK, space. Theres an absolute abundance of it here so detached, garages and all that is the expectation in the burbs. That said, there is a massive bubble powered by landlords here so prices are absolutely insane.

Andrew 7475
Its Canterbury anniversary day here tomorrow, so I'm off work but it seems like an absolute crapshoot as to whether other places are open or not. So with any luck I'm heading to a parts picker scrapyard tomorrow that has a few written of BMWs that should be compatible with my own to pick up some of the bits I want to replace for cheap. Wish me luck, 'cause I have no fucking idea what I'm doing
