NUFC v Portsmouth

Recommended Posts

cacapa's done, he was getting held off the ball by lightweight midgets last season

and Utaka just embarrassed him

being able to read the game well is great, but when you've the ability of cacapa it just means you know where you should be if you weren't geriatric and have a great view of it as people run past with the ball

 well my memory has remained consistent it seems

Cacapa got MOTM in his next game after Pompey showing btw.

He looked pretty good as well before that too IMO.

He was a cripple though shortly afterwards, he looked like an old man, I agree almost entirely with Ian's post. He admits there was worse, but Portsmouth in particular made him look like a very old man at 31, and he can't have been that badly injured if he started, was an excuse that. I agree he looked decent for Lyon, but that's typical Newcastle, Luque looked a world beater at times at Deportivo.

Yep, his first couple of games he looked world class, mainly due to his positioning. Quickly went to shit however. Gene is talking shit about him being a steady, unspectacular stopper, with a large physical presence. Edited by TheRollingStones

He had no physical presence. A coat hanger could've bullied Pompey's strikers more effectively that day. At least when it fell over it might've got in their way.

It was a dogshit performance from the entire side, mind, and most of all from the fat, useless wally in the stands.

The funny thing is the worst manager we've had in the entire period of Fat Mike's ownership (bar Kinnear) was the one given the most backing. What Keegan could've done with the money that Allardyce blew on Smith, Rozenhal, Geremi....

He's full of shit though. All his talk about 'one or two in' then 'we don't need anyone'.

He was a smarmy weasel before he came to NUFC and nothing has changed, other than a few people are suffering Stockholm Syndrome.

Agreed. Personality wise he's a dead loss.

I think some of the hatred directed at Pardew is Souness level at times - which is strange as he's had his hands tied behind his back the entire time.

How that reflects in his pay cheque, who knows?

50% of his job is to arselick the worst owner in English football, my dislike of him stems more from that, than any tactical ineptitude he has. Also his patter stinks generally too, how many times is he going to mention they full kit 50 year old geordies he sees in petrol stations. He is a mug, he should be a gigolo for 65+ year old spinsters who still fancy a shag.
