Luka Modric, has dismissed Newcastle United complaints that he messed them around.

Modric: "Zagreb agreed a fee with Newcastle it was an option - but that is all.

"I never led Newcastle on. I never went to the training ground, as was reported.

"I had a choice and I wanted to join Spurs. I spoke to a few people, including Bilic. They seemed to think Spurs were a perfect club for me, so it was a good decision for me to make."

New Player in "Ingratiating Himself to Fans" shocker.

fucking hell Danny man, you're a tool if you buy this. And no, I'm not bitter, I'm not upset5 I'm just amazed that you would wave this in front of our faces as if it'll upset us.

He's lying through his fucking teeth. He had absolutely no say in the transfer. He was told he was going to Spurs. End of.

I think Newcastle can do better than him for themselves in the transfer window.

They probably can, but they will have to pay handsomely for it.

How much will you end up paying for little Luka?

Not especially, his price is quite inflated.

16.5 mil if he fulfills his potential. A lot of wedge in anybodies book.

Good player, but it normally takes about 6 months to adjust to the pace of the PL. There'll be no lah di dah time and he's going to have to think faster and be a lot fitter.

How does that work out? How do you figure when exactly someone has fulfilled his potential?

Also, Danny, you and me both know you were on the WU, you're just trying to disguise it now that you've been rumbled

From what I have seen of him he is very comfortable in possession and can pass with both feet, I dont see pace being an issue.

Its his size that worries me he is VERY lightweight.

We'll see. I am glad we have gambled on him.

Games played etc, its fairly normal to include these causes. Bale cost us 5 up front with 5 in clauses.

No WU mate. Thats not what Im aboot.

Good player and I would have liked him at Newcastle.

The very fact we are in for him and we appear to be willing to spend the cash is deccccccent and it's good to hear it from him, apart from the going to Spurs bit.

I think in a strange way it has benefited us, It means there aren't stories in the papers everyday linking us with pretty much everyone. Sometimes it's better to work behind the scenes.

Whats with all the shit names for us by the way?

''Newcash/Barcodes etc etc''

not really him fulfilling potential though, that was my point. Dyer played a fair few games for us, but I'd say he never met his potential.

I was being argumentative

I still don`t think Carrick was worth what they paid for him.

But has no relation whatsoever to this. Carrick was PL proven though.

I'd rather have Alonso than Carrick any day of the week.
