Tom 14011
Basically I have no clue about Laptops and my brother is after one. His budget is £400-600. He needs it for :- Football Manager 2009 Microsoft Excel (for doing accountancy rubbish) Wireless Internet. If I was him i would buy a macbook because they look cool however he needs it for practical purposes. Any ideas?

Fop 1
I think it's hard to beat the Dell business laptops, if you can get one when there's a decent offer on.
Tom 14011
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/145265 This looks ideal for his needs. Cheers Jimbo!

donaldstott 0
Tesco are selling 2GB Sony Vaio's for about 450quid. I've had one for two months and it's spot on (apart from the hideously bad battery life.. Should have everything he needs (though obviously he'll need to by Office seperately). Also I might be wrong but Excel won't work on a Macbook.
Jusoda Kid 1
Bought loads of times from e-buyer with no problems whatsoever. The lad I work with has sent stuff back and he reckons there returns is second to none. http://www.hotukdeals.com/search.php?actio...ory=&type=

Tom 14011
Well I thought I would look at a wide range of options - as I said I normally use desktops so I don't really know much about laptops. However that one looks cool and is of a decent spec + I can get it for £500.

The Fish 10659
A turnable screen on a laptop? Aye because it's so difficult to lift the laptop up and turn it around... if only there was a way to make the laptop portable...

asteroidblitz 12
Going to pop through and get this tonight I think. Don't get it. The display is really dull and blurred. Was going to get the same model a few months ago, but changed my mind when I saw the display quality. Awful.
Tom 14011
Ended up getting a monster of a HP laptop with a HD display. Cost him £500 and he got £300 off and a years free waranty. Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
The HP ones are supposed to be good. Why do laptops all seem to have shiny high-reflective screens at the moment? I like a nice matt screen.
