I think most of their fans knew their place, but when Jol took over and they came 5th it was like the club insisted every fan took some LSD/E hybrid drug before talking about football. They actually started believing they were a big club, and could talk down to fans on infinitely bigger clubs. The delusion along with the fact with they're ugly cunts, and the epitome of the SKY fan culture, is why I hate them. Arsenal suffer from the SKY culture too, but I don't hate them, it's a collection of things with Tottenham, they will pipe down and know their place again soon though.
