Lavazzo is a good strong blend. Used in lots of restaurants.

You can use it in filters, esspresso percolators and cafetieres.

If your using it in filter, don't be shy with it- for a full pot I put about 9 or 10 hefty spoons in.

Lavazzo is ok, cheeky and dark with a long aftertaste...

Try fresh ground. Buy the beans and grind at home. makes amassive differance.

Go for Costa rican, Nicaraguan and Java beans. I like to drop a dash of nutmeg into the grinder.

Experiment.

My brother brought back me a one of those hexagonal, stove-top esspresso percolators from Italy nearly 10 years ago.

Used it most mornings , still going strong.

Beatifully simple, beatifully coffee.

Comes in various sizes. Takes ground coffee.

Unscrews at the waist, water goes in the bottom, coffee in a holder on top of that, then on the stove. Steam percolates up thru the coffee and collects in the top section.

Cleans in the sink, so The Washing Up Fairy tells me.

They are the canines testes.

Ground coffee ? Thats good, if it does a good job. One thing I like about the filter machine is that you can chuck the used coffee into the bin so it doesn't block the sink up. I might get one of these after also reading the reviews I would prefer to use filter coffee though if it cleans easily.
