France gets tough...

TBF Parky you once told me that Anne Frank's Diary had been extensively altered after her death. A theory I later found out came from David Irving (although you didn't mention that at the time, funnily enough). I do think that sort of thing strays well into the realms of unpleasant anti-Semitism tbh.

I'll hold my hands up to that one. :wank:

I'll pick on the Saudi's for a few days to even things up.

... Not that Parky's got a thing about Jews or owt. :wank:

He may well be right though.

Verging on anti-semitic though. I love Jews me. Well, the secular New York comedian type anyway.

You see that's a very good example of how they want you to think. Thought of applying to the ADL?

I love Woody Allen as well. :D

And that's a very good example of why I think you're anti-Semitic

When you say "that's what they want you to think" it infers a concerted Machiavellian effort, malevolent in intent and deceitful in design.

I'm sure there have been horrific crimes committed in their name, but isn't that true of most large groups?

YOu can think what you like, and it wouldn't bother me if you did, there is nothing I can do to allay that claim...As Finkelstien (a tough critic of Israel and a Jew) observes the Jewish lobbies around the world use it as a blanket term to suppress criticism of the state of Israel. Is isn't a large group btw but massively over influential for its size (the Jewish lobby in Washington) is why Obama has to make nice with Israel the whole time instead of having some balls and telling them to stop breaking human rights laws and carrying out essentially ethnic cleansing in the lands they control.

You should have a look at the doc that HF gives a link to in the "Jews at it again" thread. :):wank:

I am aware I skirt close to the edge on the topic of Israel, but I do that on all topics on here where I have a historical stake ie healthcare, socialism, America, UFO's etc. I wouldn't bother posting otherwise. Yes I do make up things sometimes... :)

Well aye but, I think that's a different issue. Israel is not reflective of all Jews, just as Pakistan is not representative of all Muslims. My point being tht Parky seems to have enmity towards all dead sea pedestrians, not just the ones who're infuriated by stones scratching their brand new tanks.

Tell me why I have to be "oh so careful" when discussing the dead sea wallahs? :wank:

I know that and I know what point you were making. I was just saying I agree, in the main, when it comes to Israel.

Not saying you do, but if you're prejudice against Jews rather than just dismayed by the actions of Israeli Jews it's lacking in balance and devalues any valid points you might make on that subject. Just like my prejudice against fatties makes my view carry less weight.*

You all agree when it comes to Israel and when the wider diaspora criticise their fellow Jews and get labelled anti-semitic somehow you ignore it. Israel is carrying out a pan-specific idelogical war that is being fought from Washington to London and often the argument boils down to them being victims. I don't think it's a coincidence. If I talked in dry terms about Israel and use mega links and facts noone of you cunts would read the posts......

Probably a lesson there. If you persecute a people down the millenia it'll lead to trouble sooner or later.

I get that and I agree with you and Alex actually sometimes my anger and irritation comes close to the edge, I'm well aware of that....But tell me everytime I hightlight some new wrong doing do you really want to know if the Jews are from New York (the new settlers in Jerusalem who are buying out Palestinian families) or whether the Jews are from Washington or Tel Aviv and the specifity of their variation of the Talmud etc....Course you don't its a football board and sometimes I just use blanket terms...I don't want to have to use safety winks and make sure I balance all post regarding Israel - Jews etc Cause if I do ON HERE it only shows their power, that their hegemony has filtered down even to a toon board. Get me?

So you don't want this pretzel then? :wank:

I guess my thing is that while I'm horrified by the actions of some, I just can't bring myself to label an entire people. (except fatties).

I don't think all Muslims are sociopaths and intolerant bigots, despite daily reports of their inhumanity to infidels and fidels alike.

Not all Oirish are drunks, not all French are cunts and not all boarding school kids are plummy twats.

I understand you're angered by the actions of a few, but why don't you equally rail against the tribes in Africa who commit atrocities daily, or the evils done by the Cartels in South America etc etc. Why do the kosher folk get special treatment? Is it a personal experience thing?

I think that Jews provide good "input" into a debate on multicultarism. I've always recognised their persecution in history but have always felt that they "asked for" (please don't think I'm justifying pogroms and holocausts for a second) some of it in the sense that they have always been very non-integrational which sets them up for prejudice.

I think that is mirrored in the UK with the way Southern Asian Muslims have isolated themselves too much in places like Blackburn and Bradford. The kind of multicultarism that I'd promote would be the kind demonstrated by other groups like the Chinese, Hindus and West Indians (forgetting the gang culture for the sake of the argument) who are all proud of their culture but have embraced elements of British culture as well as adding their own to it.

I would say immigration has added to "British culture" rather than replaced it - I think use of the word "dilution" is also wrong.

Just reading back I'm sounding a little holier than thou Parky and that's not my intent. Just curious why you hold Jews in lower regard than you do other folk, who've committed acts as heinious?

Hindu/Sikh integration as against Muslim integration in say Birmingham (where I lived for a spell) is a case in point.

Probably because they continue to do it with flagrant disregard for the rest of humanity and seem to meet little formal recourse in the process. Just imagine if Iran was doing the same thing......American planes would have taken to the skies long ago.

These would be the same Sikhs that cause a street riot outside a Birmingham theater because it was playing something they didn't like? Cracking example of harmonious integration that.
