i dont need to ive seen people use them on the likes of youtube on tv etc and i dont see anything impressive that makes you say wow

They do nothing impressive but the copycats do? Ey? That's like going to Turkey, buying a Newcastle shirt made by "Mupa" and claiming it's better than the real thing.

Was very close to getting this the other day. Was about £200 up on roulette and said I was going to put it towards the iPad. Tried to increase my winnings and the rest was history.

Still went into Covent Garden Apple store to have a play but it was just like a cyber cafe for Spanish people. Couldn't even get a seat - was fed up so ended up walking out!

I impulse bought one of these. What an absolute twat I am.

Any app recommendations. Got flipboard which is amazing, and I'm using Giigo browser which looks exactly like Chrome, has tabbed browsing and seems to be a lot better than Safari.

I know you think you're a bit of a Masterchef in the making, but don't get the Jamie Oliver app. It's a rip off, gives you about 13 taster recipes, then each one after that is about £1.25 to buy.

AirVideo is excellent if you have a lot of films on your hard drive that you want to stream to your iPad, or you want to convert your films to store on your iPad.

Good for the vinegar strokes like?

A lot of the apps I've got are just the HD ones of some of them that I had when I had my iPhone, but anyways here's some that I'd recommend -

Sky News

Sky Sports News

Good Food (Quick + Healthy)

TripAdvisor

BBC iPlayer

Sky +

Sky Go

Steak Master (only the iPhone version, so the quality isn't very good, but it's amazing for cooking steak, can't recommend enough)

Times and Sunday Times

4oD Catch Up

Live Sport (does what it says on the tin)

Flipboard (class app that turns all of your social networking into one big magazine)

TV Guide

Epicurious (Recipe app)

Pulse News

Gordon Ramsay Cook With Me

Dropbox

ShowYou

It's a shame Sky News is so crap, cos their app is great. I've downloaded GarageBand and will have a concept album written by the end of the week. Have bought an Amplitube iRig to allow me to plug my guitar into the iPad and lay down some blistering solos.

Surely there's an app that you can find to plug your steel drums into? Yeah mon.

You're getting me confused with Manchester's foremost Rastafarian toon fan. He might get a guest slot if I stray into reggae territory though.

Dunno anywhere.

Mentioned on here that we've been getting bombarded with mails asking us if we want £100 off either model. Glad i didn't take it now as they're not improving on that on any internal staff deals now.

I had one in my basket at PC world and was about to enter visa details when it popped up that there was a stock error  Dixsons sold out.

Tesco and Argos still have full prices up, so worth keeping an eye on for a drop.

Might have a drive around after work to see if there's anything in store anywhere.

If you read that thread, they reckon you can buy full price and HP will refund the difference. Don't think I'll risk it.
