How on earth was Demba Ba's not a penalty? Simpson looked gash, but by all accounts Guthrie seemed to do alright. CB is definately a major issue - surely there must be another ameobi knocking about

Looks like Shola had a sex op.

Who was right back? Check out their awesome positioning at around 1:00m - Perch standing there not really marking anyone as well.

Samba's arms ALL OVER Ba shortly after...

The contact from Krul shortly after was a definite pen from what you can see of it, though it looks like there's a good chance of that being offside (can't see from the camera angle). If it wasn't offside there must have been a woeful offside trap from the defensive line.

Great shot for the first from Guthrie - saw the chance and took it. He looks like he's lost some weight since last season?

Peach of a free-kick from Cabaye. Would have been good to see some other angles.

Tough deflection for the Pedersen goal, the kind of luck we'd normally get in the league TBH.

Actual decent ball into the box from Obertan in the lead up to the Lovelyhands penalty.

The defending on the final set piece was absolutely woeful.

def wasnt offside for their penalty, I was sat right on line with our defensive line for it, just a good timed run/pass and bad defending it was a certain penalty

we actually had 3 penalty shouts in the game 2 of those were in the 90 minutes and the one that was given in extra time

we had me, a neutral and a blackburn fan in our group and we all thought all three were certain pens

simpson was right back with perch and colo at cb and santon at lb to start with, only colo was any good in that structure, santon improved when he was playing more at rb/cb as we had there defenders when simpson went off

cabaye was playing too deep because guthrie thinks hes an attacking mid he was always further forward he id alright but the difference wouldve been huge had we had tiote playing instead

Gotta be a step up on Perch, surely!

Suit her up in a Shola Bowla hat and away we go.

The fiercest backline in the premiership just got that much meaner.

Is there videos of us celebrating Cabaye's second anywhere? Never been a part of a crowd going that mental before like. I actually thought Perch was canny second half, was winning a lot of headers and not being so suicidal with the ball. Simpson on the other hand was shite and Marveaux seemed to be full of trickery and technique but had to keep coming inside all the time. The couple of times Obertan took his man on, he beat him and won something for us so I hope he takes some confidence from it. Ba gave Samba a nightmare at times, Santon was canny at RB but never looks a LB. Seems too right-footed. Overall though, was a mental game to be there for and it wasn't too soul-crushing being there. Was just a relief that your heart could relax.

Tell you what like, Cabaye is fucking lush in the flesh.
