There's nothing Iran can actually do in the straits that we can't undo in a few days That's true hypothetically, we have mine sweepers actually there in place now. However, I think most people agree there's a rogue nature to Iran and if it really kicked off those 25 warships in the Gulf are sitting ducks which they could potentially hit anyway. Lets hope fuck all happens there. Also regarding Israel fair point, but you're talking many many years ago, and certainly before 86 when they developed their nukes.
