Sorry, I should elaborate. He's said he'd love to play for Ireland years ago what at Charlton. Papers over here have been full of talk of Trap being very impressed with his performances and looking at calling him up. It's been a problem position for us since Given retired. One of our other alternatives isn't close to getting a look in at the Mackems at the minute, so Elliott and Randolph(Motherwell*) are our only keepers playing too flight football.

*shit league

Which Ireland is this? Could put the Celtic fans in a right situation if he is playing for the country they love and their hero is getting called up for the country they hate :unsure2:

The Elliot/Forster head to head would at least be more interesting than their usual patter I suppose.

His handling is a bit shite, or at least his confidence when it comes handle the ball instead of just pushing it away for a corner. Not the most agile one either. His strengths are distrubition, and being able to do good kicks with both feet in stressed situations, that's canny.

Eh? I think he's been pretty spot on with handling most of the time. Would be happy to give him a go as a first choice keeper if we didnnt have Krul.

Was pretty agile getting down to Etoo's low shot through players the other day too.

He did well with the low shoot indeed, but in general Tim Krul does look twice the player in when it comes to the physical side. Tim Krul can also catch a ball and hold it tight even if it's ever so hard a shot, Elliot seems to safe it by punching it over the bar or to the side creating corners. Put that aside, he's been reliable back-up so far, but he has also been lucky having Taylor, Colo and Yanga-Mbiwa making his job easy.

"Shite"? Hardly.

Also, you're not a Geordie, don't have to pretend to be one ;)
