3 months without Gemmill's questionable predictions? At least we won't have a summer discussing players we definitely won't sign:yes:

It's crazy, he'll miss the HOT MITCH SUMMER excitement.

You'll be left with a summer of GREAT BANTZ like this though, so swings and roundabouts.

Only we won't. There's no way you're doing 3 months away from here. We're not that lucky.

Unless you've got the huff because Mitchell is going. Does HOT MITCH SUMMER have alternative meaning? :huff:

Been having a chat with a Spurs fan at work about Paul Mitchell. The synopsis of it was pretty much:

"He presided over the sale of Gareth Bale and replaced him with 7 players of which only one, Christian Eriksen, was any good. You're well rid of him!"

Every chance I pop back in from time to time, I did say I was gonna TRY. And honestly by the time I do, you'll all be absolutely desperate for some refreshing top quality patter.

Not much of Spurs fan. Mitchell worked with Poch at Spurs. This dude worked with  Redknapp and Villas Boas to spend the Bale money…

Looking at his CV he doesn't seem to hang about anywhere for a long period.

Seems to fall out with people left, right and centre also. Basically he's shite and gets found out pretty quickly. On that basis, what the hell was Eales thinking in appointing him or was it 'jobs for the boys'? :dunno:

Started the day off watching that Bruno documentary made by his family. Followed that up with the "fan" documentary about the cup final. Fucking destroyed once again.

I'm surprised you didn't follow up with dessert being pissing your pants worrying that the EPL were somehow going to award Villa 5th place.

It's not really telling us much though. Pitching distance covered against number of sprints. As is alluded to it provides possible explanation for injuries.

There'd be far more value if one of these was pitched against a measurable outcome - goals, points, etc.

Interesting graphic - 3rd in the number of sprints and also distance covered this season.

Intensity still very much part of our indentity.

Forest… a sad sack of counter attackers now shown in stat form. Leicester played similarly when they won the title in 2016 but they had the advantage of 2/3 world class players..  Kante, Mahrez and arguably Vardy. Forest had Chris Wood, Anthony Elanga and Ryan Yates…

What surprises me about the stat is that Forest are so low down on the sprints. Their whole counter-attacking ethos was based on Hudson-Odoi, Gibbs-White and predominately, Elanga sprinting like fuck.

You're right to call out that Leicester did it with better players but there seems to be a general view (especially from the Sky Sports lot) that low possession is a bad thing. Surely winning games where your players aren't having to put in the miles / sprint continuously is a good thing? Certainly reduces the injury risk.
