 I hoped that the Silverstone teaching you your job example might bring home to you how ludicrous it is that you think these people haven't thought of these things, but nope. You genuinely think you know best.

As for who is correct and who isn't... I'm not attempting to sit the professionals at the club down and tell them how to do their job. You are.

Of course I am, I've just emailed them from a hotmail account I set up in your name.

FFS Scotty, grow up, it's the internet and a conversation between no nowt.

Anyway, fuck off back to your cursor moving program and spreadsheets, I've got Silverstone calling me in a moment.

You've become the toon version of MAGA,

Aye, how dare you question the professionalism of the management staff at a club who haven't signed a first team player in the past three windows.

Their professionalism isn't the issue.

But to be clear, I wasn't saying not to question their professionalism. That would be another way to look stupid, but it's a viable option.

What I was criticising was the idea that people on here come forward with these stupidly simplistic solutions, and they really think they've got the answer and no one at the club has thought of it.

It's fucking WEIRD.

I don't think anyone is saying that the thought has never occurred to those at the club. The question is why haven't they done it? Are they scared of failing related party rules? Are they holding off because they think the rights will be more valuable in a few years time? To me, both those reasons aren't enough not to go ahead and do it. When you're as tight to the PSR limits as we are then surely you'd want to be pulling every lever at our disposal.

But do you not think they are in possession of facts that you aren't? Or knowledge of establishing long term relationships with sponsors? All of which might just make your idea a non starter.

Again it's the idea that you know best. I find that really bizarre.

Have you all taken CT's advice and become taxi drivers?

YOU are MAGA. Forthright opinions WITHOUT the facts. That's MAGA.

You're basically telling Silverstone that injecting bleach would fix PSR.

Wouldn't it? It fixes covid so surely it would fix PSR.

Pete S has suggested it might be a viable option for both psr and to replace tv work, go figure?

There are degrees of this though. People on here have always put their team selections and been very convinced that they know best. That's a football forum. Oh why's he making that sub at this time?! That's a football forum.

People telling the Chief Commercial Officer that they've had an idea that..... juuuuuust maybe hasn't entered his silly little head about how to get around this whole PSR business.... I know it all seems very confusing to you Peter, but allow me to enlighten you...

And putting these forward these opinions in a fucking RAGE that the club haven't thought of this.

That's fucking WEIRD.

Every time I log on lately, everybody is arguing with each other. I almost feel as though it is my duty to once again spread my wisdom via the politics thread in an effort to unite you all, thus saving you from self destruction

Just as a manager can be woefully out of his depth im sure executives can be (*cough* Lee Charley *cough*)

I think the issue we seem to be debating is, are we playing this too honestly? This is 100% backed in fact by Staveley in the documentary being worried about the Sela sponsorship fee. At the same time Chelsea are selling themselves a hotel and the women's football team to get a leg up.
