Andrew 7456 Posted November 29 Author Share Posted November 29 OK the limit is now 50mb for everyone, that was the standard member one but we had donator groups, legend groups, MFs own special one (no one ever go in there) and then fucking loads with one or two members in etc. I've simplified that down now to make stuff easier to manage You see your limit remaining at the bottom of the box where you'd write a post, my limits always been 50mb(I have 37.78mb left), so I don't know what you'll be seeing exactly if you're already over your allowance, I know @PaddockLad for example has about 600mb of stuff, so I dunno if it just tells him 0mb or whether hes told hes over his budget. Andrew 7456 Posted November 29 Author Share Posted November 29 For those of you fond of using gifs, you can either use the gifs from the extension on the forum which dont use any storage space, or you can upload the one you like and then instead of uploading it over and over again, drop down where it says "other media" and choose "insert existing attachment" which then won't take up any more of your space. Sorry to keep using you as an example fist but when I cleared out @Monkeys Fists storage, most of it was repeatedly uploading the same ones, I've got rid of the Fred Dibnah one from different uploads dozens of times 3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Andrew 7456 Posted November 29 Author Share Posted November 29 btw I appreciate that this is probably a massive pain in the arse for everyone, but our major issues earlier this year were due to us maxing out our storage space, I upped the subscription for our server hosts to get us back running nice but that stuffs getting more and more expensive (as is everything) and letting everyone have no limit on storage is NOT sustainable because images/gifs and shit are just getting higher quality and taking up more room. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Oh yeah you will be, the problem has been that some groups just had NO limit setup, so before this you could just keep uploading stuff and never be prompted to tidy up at all.
