Too many people leaving. Not nearly enough people coming. Still blaming Milner he is paid more than enough to class himself a rich man. But Ashley and the boys seem to have all the urgency of a Sloth on valium. This is not good enough. I have backed Ashley all summer but I now feel he is currently not doing a good enough job!!

This is just one of many topics to probably be started in the next couple of days. People were very optimistic at the begging of the summer and then we pulled a couple of rabbits out of the hat.

The three signings that we've had so far are pretty damn good even Gutherie (reading previous posts, people were prepared to shoot him on sight)

We've got of to damn good start to the season and hopefully we can get another point maybe 3 against the French on Saturday

Yes there are only 5 days to go, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if the magic hat comes out again this afternoon.

Now if I could only find a emoticon of a rabbit popping out of a hat

I have to admit I'm beginning to feel a bit worried. The band's playing, the ship's sailing, but isn't that damn iceberg looming a bit large? Surely the captain knows what he's doing? Whey it's all under control, the crew know what they're doing, relax........

'Sorry but i am pressing the panic button

we need at least 6 players in 5 days

our squad is the smallest in the premier league

god help us if we have injuries.

The board are a joke

sunderland have shown us up this transfer window

Mike ashley has no intention of spending in this window

bring back freddie shepherd.'

I cannot wait until the transfer window closes then perhaps we can just get behind the team and focus on the season ahead.

After the past 3 results the forums have been full of optimism and quite rightly so IMO but give it until the next morning and there are many people pushing the panic button “OMG WTF!!!! We have not signed no 1!!!!”

We have bid for the likes of Woodgate, Aimar and Modric and if rumours are to be believed have shown an interest in the likes of Gomis, Turan, Inler, Warnock etc. And with the way the club has been conducting their transfers this season, who really knows what other players we have attempted to sign.

So these transfers haven’t come off, what else can the club do? Yes we can all see that by adding a couple of quality players we could have the start of a half decent side but in reality no one knows just how hard they are working behind the scene to ensure they make those additions and what an impact the likes of having no European football and our recent finishes are having...

Yes I will be disappointed if we do not sign anyone else however look at the positives. We are finally playing some decent football again, (whilst its early days) we have added what appears to be 4 good players without spending an obscene amount of money. We are investing in our youth set up and scouting network ensuring that we are planning for the long term as well as the immediate future and of course this is all being led by the enthusiasm of Kevin Keegan.

Keep the faith lads...

I was confident last week with the noises that Keegan was making but he seems a bit less confident now and basically there's fuck all time left to do anything now.

For my money we needed three more players in with one of them being a nailed on starter. If Milner goes that number increased to four bodies, two of which being starters (unless players are going to play in different positions to what we've seen so far).

I just can't see this happening unless they are panic buys at this stage. You could maybe get that one player you want (like Robhino to Chelski or Berbatov to Manure) but to numbers we need just doesn't seem possible.

If we don't get these players in the luck we are going to need on the injury front is unthinkable.

Spot on. However, post it over on N-O and you'll be torn to shreds by the "Milner isn't that good, but I can't believe we're selling him anyway!" brigade
