No it's just you've got nothing good to slate. People knock Ronaldo because he's quality, ditto Lampard and Gerrard. You're just shit.

You have more Jewish fans than anyone in London. Oh, and you are also by far the most hated team in London. Chelsea, Arsenal, West Ham and Millwall all hate you with a passion. As do other clubs such as the mighty Brentford and, indeed, the likes of Charlton even do. Warren Mitchell, who played Alf Garnett, is the face and epitome of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. Danny B greets the news of Modric's signing. Someone posted a video from the WHL boardroom after the completion of the Gomes deal:

You might try and bid for Robinson. 5 mil doesnt seem a massive amount to pay for an England international. Why? He's rubbish. Given and Harper are both better IMO. IEO tbh

Wheres the green eyed monster smiley Look cunty, you know in your heart you will be as big a club as we are in any way shape or form. So if a player isn't good enough for Tottenham, he's fuckin certainly not good enough for us, though not true the other way round - see Kevin Scott, Ruel Fox etc.. and finally this Gomes is totally shite, one shite keeper replaced by another, keep up the good work Santini. Ginola, Gazza, Ferdinand. vs Stevie Carr. As for big club, we could always compare trophies won? 2 League Titles against 4 yes lets. No one counts League Cups apart from Oxford, Boro, Tottenham type clubs. Gazza left because of our draconian board, Les left in tears and always wanted to stay, and Ginola's house got burgled. hahaha how many centuries shall we go back? Spurs honours: League Champions: 1950-51, 1960-61 FA Cup Winners: 1901, 1921, 1961, 1962, 1967, 1981, 1982, 1991 Football League Cup Winners: 1971, 1973, 1999, 2008 European Cup Winners' Cup Winners: 1963 UEFA Cup Winners: 1972, 1984 Newcash: * First Division and Premier League[38] titles: 4 o Champions: 1904-05, 1906-07, 1908-09, 1926-27 * FA Cups: 6 o 1910, 1924, 1932, 1951, 1952, 1955 * Inter-Cities Fairs Cup: 1 o 1969 If you want to have debates on here fair enough, but putting stuff like "Newcash" really does just make you look like a cock.

Cesar, Doni and Alves were the three keepers called up for the last two squads chosen.

In all seriousness, I always though he (Gomes) had a reputation as being quite a dodgy keeper.

Shepherd takeover out of the question say Leeds United
smoggeordie replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
Sure Mrs Shep will be delighted to hear that -
Impressive squealing there Veruca Salt. Get a fucking grip on yourself I take it you're excited then? I'm taking the ridiculous step of waiting to see how things turn out before I decide either way That's fair enough, but you've got to admit it doesn't look good at the current point in time. I'm quietly confident, considering the two pieces of information regarding potential incoming transfers in the past 6 months that have been leaked to us were a £10 mill bid for Woodgate and a £15+mill bid for Modric. A cynic might say those bids went in knowing full well the players in question wanted nowt to do with the North East. Or an optimist would say Keegan knew how much Woodgate liked it here and thought maybe he could twist his arm, whereas he genuinely thought Modric would come here.

NEWCASTLE United will tackle top-level Spanish and German opposition during their pre-season programme. Kevin Keegan's side have so far confirmed five warm-up matches to get the players in the best possible shape before the 2008/09 Premier League campaign kicks off with a visit to Manchester United. The Magpies report back for pre-season training on July 7 and have their first run-out on Saturday, July 19, when they make the short trip down the A19 to face League One outfit Hartlepool United at Victoria Park (kick-off 3pm). Seven days later on Saturday, July 26, Newcastle are again on the road as we make our first visit to the Keepmoat Stadium, home to newly-promoted Championship side Doncaster Rovers (kick-off 3pm). After that, United fly south for the four-team Mallorca Summer Cup tournament in the ONO Estadi, Palma. Fixtures for the tournament are as follows: Friday, August 1 Newcastle United v Hertha Berlin (kick-off 8pm) RCD Mallorca v Hannover 96 (kick-off 10pm) Sunday, August 3 Hannover 96 v Hertha Berlin (kick-off 8pm) RCD Mallorca v Newcastle United (kick-off 10pm) The format for the tournament is three points for a win, one point for a draw and teams also awarded an extra point for each goal scored (ie a 3-1 win over Hertha would see United pick up six points in total, while Hertha would gain one. Any matches that finish level after 90 minutes will be decided on penalties, with three points going to the side that wins the spot-kicks. Newcastle then return to home soil for a friendly against Spaniards Valencia on Saturday, August 9 (kick-off TBC). The Club are also still looking at the possibility of another home friendly, to be played on either Tuesday, August 5, or Wednesday, August 6. Ticket details for all our pre-season friendlies will be announced first on nufc.co.uk in due course. Supporters are respectfully asked not to contact the Box Office with pre-season ticket inquiries at this time as staff are extremely busy processing 2008/09 season ticket renewals.

Boro is an absolute shithole, but the outskirts aren't too bad: Nunthorpe, Marton, Stokesley etc. Middlesbrough is posh though compared to places like Stockton, Billingham, Hartlepool etc.

ENGLAND winger Aaron Lennon would jump at the chance to join Newcastle United – but only if Tottenham Hotspur are willing to sell him. And at the moment there is no indication that White Hart Lane boss Juande Ramos is ready to sell the 21-year-old winger. There is a list of players Spurs are ready to let go – but Lennon is not thought to be on it. But he is on Kevin Keegan’s shopping list, and I am told that United’s recruitment duo of Dennis Wise and Tony Jimenez are also keen on the idea. However, while Keegan woke up to headlines yesterday suggesting Lennon was on his way to St James’s Park, any deal is still a long way off. Top London agent Leon Angel represents both Lennon and United central defender Steven Taylor. And while he has been in talks with Jimenez regarding Taylor’s new contract, I am told Lennon has not been mentioned. Spurs are one of the clubs currently being linked with Blackburn’s England right- winger David Bentley, who is rated in the £15m bracket. And United fans may be asking themselves why Newcastle are not being linked with Bentley. But in the past couple of years and since they bought the £10m Oba Martins on the never-never – they still owe Inter Milan £6m – United have not paid out big money for anyone. This follows the disastrous signings of Jean Alain Boumsong and Albert Luque for the best part of £20m. The policy of Mike Ashley, Wise and Jimenez to sign top young players is an admirable one, but what Keegan wants at the moment are ready-made players – and Lennon comes into this category. Lennon was born and bred in Leeds, and a couple of years ago he was homesick and found life difficult in north London. The United manager of the time Glenn Roeder was aware of this and was on the brink of trying to lure Lennon to St James’s Park when the winger was suddenly and surprisingly called up by Sven-Goran Eriksson for England’s World Cup squad in Germany. Having returned from holiday Keegan was back at his desk today at his base at the United training ground. And with Euro 2008 just a week away from ending, United fans will be hoping there is some action in the transfer market soon.

SOCCER bad boy Craig Bellamy faces fresh shame after it was claimed he attacked a charity worker in Africa. Shocked witnesses said the striker went into a rage after losing money in a casino following an all-day drinking session. They claimed West Ham and Wales star Bellamy, who is in war-torn Sierra Leone to promote his football foundation, grabbed the charity worker in a headlock and wrestled him to the floor. Eventually bouncers jumped on him and dragged him out through a rear exit before dumping him in a car park. The incident happened in the country’s capital, Freetown, in the early hours of Saturday after Bellamy and his two former SAS bodyguards went for drinks at the Lagonda Casino. One witness said: “Bellamy had two minders with him but within 20 minutes of his arrival there was trouble. “He was playing on a roulette table when something seemed to upset him. He was shouting and squaring up to people at the table. “A few seconds later he jumped on one guy and started wrestling with him on the floor. “The guy involved was an Englishman who is in Sierra Leone to help raise money for a charity that works with children orphaned by the civil war. “Bellamy’s eyes were glazed over and he was in a rage. There were casino chips flying in the air and all hell broke loose. It took the local bouncers several minutes to drag Bellamy out of the club and all the time he was shouting and screaming abuse at everyone. “This just isn’t the way people behave out here. There are only a couple of places in Freetown where westerners can drink. “The casino is popular with British consulate staff as well as workers from the non governmental organisations and charities that operate in Sierra Leone.” The incident is likely to cause Bellamy serious problems because it threatens to derail his plans to set up a football academy there. The witness added: “There were some important people there that night and they couldn’t believe what was happening. “It is honourable that football stars want to give something back to the game but they cannot behave like this.” Last night Bellamy’s agent denied the accusations but refused to comment further.

Quality effort from the lad. Hopefully we'll wrap it up quickly today.
