When you watch England play a supposedly "minor" team like Algeria, there still seems to be a massive deficiency in technical ability on England's part. By that I mean the way the players behave with the ball at their feet, the short passes, the little touches to create space and the movement. England seem obsessed with getting the ball up the pitch as fast as possible, whereas other sides bide their time, take a few extra touches and passes in midfield and build play that way. Watch it on Wednesday, most teams that England play look far more assured when in possession of the ball and don't give it away as easily as England do.
