Can you give us some examples of which substitutions and ddecisions you mean Sima? The Villa game is the obvious one. Enrique for Lovenkrands and not throwing complete caution to the wind. Fucking hell we were fighting for our lives, I'd rather have shipped 3 in the last five minutes with 6 up front than kept it the way it was and in the end not even rendering a decent effort on target. We went down without even a whimper.

I'd much rather have a manager that has experience of getting out of this division, can stabilise the club and has had creditable Premiership experience. Shearer's charisma and his gravitas with the fans is a massive plus granted, however some of his tactical decisions and choice of substitutions in the last few games of the season stand against him. Someone like Paul Jewell for example would be a decent appointment to stabilise the current situation if a new buyer comes in.

Shearer has shown nothing to suggest he has the ability to be a good manager. Don't know why most people are desperate for him to take our job full time tbh.
