  6. Before the days of Transfer Windows. When you sack a manager just as the transfer window is about to close or has closed then it's just plain daft. But it shouldn't have mattered when Souness was hired because the squad he inherited was the "best he had ever worked with".
  7. I was refering to the two little first time flicks that allowed us in for both goals. "Flicks don't win football matches". No, goals do and that's how we scored ours.
  8. Lita has been a bit unfortunate with injuries since his move from Bristol, but when playing really looks the business. Sidwell also looks like a canny player. But you've got to remember that raping the Championship means nowt when you step up, look at the mackems.
  9. It's not so much about the clubs being able to afford the time needed for a player to adjust, but for a player of Luque's age, he can hardly afford a season of transition and adjustment, especially in a World Cup season. From his point of view this move could not have been worse timed, and obviously the injuries have hardly helped him.
  10. Is Bellamy the father of LM's kids or summat? Is he after some CSA money? Because this obsession is going WAY beyond a footballer being sold for the wrong reasons.
  11. Whey he's certainly not a power player, and from what I've seen he doesn't have that much proper pace, (Bellamy, Dyer, O'Brien etc) so you look for something else. If he can drop off a knock in little balls for another striker then that's something. And exactly how did we win on Saturday? What was Shearer's contribution to the goals?
  12. I believe Luque could play quite nicely in behind Shola, especially the way Shola played on Saturday, with Luque using his flicks and tricks behind Shola leading the line. Would involve dropping Alan though.
  13. So noone picked up his "it's like being at war" comment then?
  14. I would suggest stating Robson will leave at the end of the season at the start of the season (undermining his position) and then punting him after the transfer window had closed were mistakes. Punting managers at the wrong time is as bad as appointing the wrong one, since one almost inevitably leads to the other.
  15. Word a day bogroll Tomorrow: Disappointed
  16. You haven't heard of the tradition on someone's birthday they buy everyone else in the office cakes?? Only reason GF is putting himself Uni tbh! 92556[/snapback] Aye I know of that, but the tight foreign studenties in my office seem fairly reluctant to divulge the info I'd need to force them to bring me cake, i.e. their dates of birth. I could just make them bring me cake.
  17. You get cakes in your office??!!?11?/1/??! Fucsake I've got to get out into the real world of jobs and cake
  18. You wouldn't think like that though, it takes a special kind of person to think like that. It's not even as if he'd been there ages and was bored or something.
  19. He was on uphill gardening leave
  20. I was just trying to be a nerd, I'll have to settle for being a geek
