I think a lot of clubs hold out for more money and then realise that they'll get nothing for him in 12 months. Or even <10m in January. He definitely isn't going to sign a new contract.
-
He got absolutely no where near that shot from 25 yards. Piss poor.
-
Aye, id take average for a 2nd string goalie (was third)
-
ManUre have done us if these details are correct. Firstly they wanted to screw us over on Lingard. Now they want him on loan for free (ish) and probably won't buy him in the summer. Plus if Pope gets injured or has a drop in form he is far superior to Darlow. Bad deal for NUFC.
-
ha. Still remember that game. McClen played out of his skin. I always quite liked Acuna. Solid midfielder and chipped in with a few goals
-
Yeah, Murphy would be on my list but he is still getting minutes and has a bumper contract. He is going nowhere permanently. We'll probably end up loaning him out until his contract runs down in 5 years.
-
Fernandez and Lewis would be the obvious choices.
-
Ive always thought he'd be a good right back to be honest.
-
He is gunning for the French WC squad. He’ll be firing all his barrels to make it

Saving it up for us.

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

Aye 64% possession away from home. Cheer the fuck up. He keeps trolling then moans about the replies he gets. -
Think we'll need to play Targett v Liverpool. His lower centre of gravity might be able to cope with Salah a bit better.
-
We were never linked with them in National press. It was always Arsenal.
-
He was awful for Chelsea. AWFUL.
-
To be fair its probably Notts Forest bidding
-
im reading reports that the other team rumour is false.
-
Id stay clear. I don't think he'd be a starter here either. I bet he ends up back at Everton on loan. Edit: Sorry, just realised his contract has been terminated.
-
Moyes was talking about him in an odd way yesterday saying he hopes he makes it through his medical and "we'll see" kind of attitude. Normally you don't say anything until its official.
-
I thought Neves and Moutinho would boss Willock and Longstaff but we ended up who 64% possession. Liverpool are elite though. I think we'd struggle to boss them with Bruno and Shelvey in the team.
-
Disagree with that. Longstaff isn't as bad as people are making out. He is now the weak link in our team now though but I trust Eddie knows what he is doing. If he can get him back to a level near when he broke through then we'll have a decent squad player - on not a huge amount of money. As mentioned before he is at the 3rd choice number 6. Liverpool was going to be extremely difficult to get anything from with a full team but now we have some key players out will be even harder. I'd take a plucky narrow defeat (to keep our peckers up) or a lucky draw.

You need to have a range of passing to play the 6. Joelinton is a ball carrier and doesn't have the range. Its going to be a tough game on Wed. I don't hold out much hope of a result and neither should you lads.
