  1. No one is denying that, i'm just confused as to why Taylor is the straw that broke the camels back and not the other ten players? Especially when there are rumours abound we have a decent replacment in Campbell still negotiating? It seems like NUFC are waiting for Taylor to go before signing Campbell. What a great idea. Swap the former U-21 captain for a defender who has one year left in him. Thats not good business in my book. Isnt he off to Notts county anyway?
  2. Well I thought Taylor would be the last one to go so I think the nail is in the coffin now.
  3. FOR FUCKS SAKE. Double bad news as it also means there will be no takeover.
  4. About 2 years ago tbh Was that a league game?
  5. Joint top. If we win by 4 goals I think we'll be top
  6. I assume its 5 yellows before a suspension. Has he got 2 or 3 so far this season?
  7. I see Smith got booked after 14 mins. How far away is he away from a suspension now (if he makes it through the game without another)?
  8. PM me the link please mate the one I have is questionable. Me too please !
  9. i don't have the patience to be put on hold for 10 minutes at a time while at work. online purchases are the way forward. just curious to know if i'm wasting my time or not... I rang for the first time years today. I didnt even get put on hold. They just ask to call back later then cut you off. Jokes. I then decided to try a different tact and spoke to someone about why I couldn't access my online account and the kind lady just booked the tickets over the phone for me.
  10. You could be right on that one but wasnt Nzogbia just "potential" around that time? Duff was an established International winger who was playing CL football with one of the best clubs in the world. I can see how Duff *could* have been an improvement.
  11. We signed him because we didnt have a left winger. I thought it was excellent business at the time but he got injured very early on this toon career and never quite recovered from that.
  12. Dont be fooled by anything Lambarse says.
  13. Not sure, but that makes him shit? So, by that reckoning, Vieira was shit as well then? Nah, my point was Vieira and Ferguson were short tempered players and the majority of their offences were probably down to that.
  14. Hasnt he been sent off the most times in Premiership history - along with Ferguson & Vieira. Dunne isn't even dirty........
  15. Not sure how you can say that when they differ so widely from paper to paper. Oliver's were the best though. 8s and 9s if you won 5s and 6s if you lost. I think it might have been Wullie who pointed out that one season he gave Speed at least a 7 and usually an 8 or 9, i.e. world player of the year form. That is quite common. You tend to remember the good things players do when we win and the bad things players do when we lose. Regardless (generally) of performances.
  16. He's different class to Steven Taylor tbf, who you seem to rate highly. I'd disagree with that. Dunne would get roasted by the fans after all his high profile clangs he made last season. I think he has had 1-2 good seasons in his career and none before Taylors current age.
  17. Sholas penalty was quality. Excellent body shape. As someone else said he was unlucky not to get 5. You're only as good as your last game....
  18. Didnt he score about 20 own goals last season?? Im sure he got a substantial amount of red cards as well.
  19. Richard Dunne is hopeless. I hope that goes through.
  20. centre midfield is the only position where we have strength in depth. and ZERO quality! Barton is good. Guthrie will do well that this level. Smith has impressed so far and thats not forgetting Nicky Fucking Butt (ok, ill give you that one) and Kevin Nolan. Hamman would be an unnecessary addition in my opinion.
  21. centre midfield is the only position where we have strength in depth.
  22. You cant change your number mid-season.
