  3. Nor do the billions of muslims around the globe support Al Qaeda. I dont blame them either for supporting al qaeda. however i will strive to make sure that they dont carry the fight to us. Edit: and if that means they cant come here or should be kicked out then so be it They DON'T support them let alone join the fight. i think i may have misunderstood your post Happy. doesnt change my feelings towards those who do support al queerer or whatever its called. you know, like the fucka's who preach outside certain mosques telling all who'll listen that they should kill the 'infidel'. I dont know of any COE vicars or priests or whatever they call themselves nowadays who still preach the whole fire & brimstone version of the bible outside of their places of worship.

  5. Ashleys not our chairman. Dekka is. IF this goes through along with the other signings weve made i would consider this to be a sucessful transfer window.
  6. totally agree, however, thanks to the many lies and falsehoods ive been fed for the last 13 yrs i tend to treat such figures with extreme skepticism. Parky esque some would say!! fuckin hell, ive just looked out of the window. its a fuckin whiteout atm!! Then why did you use the one in seven stat on prison numbers? I think what you mean is treat the figures that don't conform to your preconceptions with skepticism while those that enforce them you deem trustworthy and pertinent to the debate. ha, good point. but i didnt get those figures from the government so my argument remains true. i got that particular figure from a well respected daily newspaper iirc

Parky esque some would say!! fuckin hell, ive just looked out of the window. its a fuckin whiteout atm!! The long term programme of most western countries is for more immigration. judging by what ive seen so far i can well believe it

  9. I'd be interested in a link to that study. I'll gladly admit I'm wrong but I'd guess it's bullshit. Although it is difficult to know how many people reside in the UK illegally, a Home Office study released in March 2005 estimated a population of between 310,000 and 570,000 ... They suggest the Home Office has underestimated the numbers of unauthorised migrants by between 15,000 and 85,000. So at the most, there's about 650,000 illegals in the UK. That's the total. The Office for national statistics says that about 600,000 immigrants legally come to the UK every year. Rather than legals being a drop in the ocean compared to illegals, it's clearly the exact opposite and Illegals are dwarfed by legals. Moving on, I agree, illegal immigration is a problem. How would you like to see the policy towards it shift. Most illegals try to evade capture, but let's say you could identify them all. What would you do with them. Before you answer, remember.... ippr has estimated that if the Government made current illegal migrants legal (regularised) they would pay well in excess of £1bn in tax per year. ippr has also estimated that removing all illegal (irregular) migrants in the UK could cost up to twelve billion pounds and take around twenty five years. http://www.ippr.org/pressreleases/?id=3483 nice numbers Happy, but as a retort, when did this current government ever get its figures right?
  10. I'm not sure b follows a here. Do we play this eu because CH wants to or because it gets the best from th resources available? I am sure you'd see more from Jonas if he played alongside a string puller. Lovelyhands would benefit from someone providing through balls and. The back five would benefit from the seeing the possesion they've won being put to good use for a change. to answer the 1st question a bit of both. yes its the way CH wants us to play and yes it gets the best from the available resources. with the forwards we have atm (shola, carroll, ranger) a creative type could play 10 world class balls through every match and they would never get on the end of them. take your point about lovelyhands tho and as i said earlier maybe routledge. not sure about jonas tho as i believe he plays in his own little world most of the time.
  11. I dont think theres much point in signing a creative midfielder. to accomadate a creative type of player we would have to have a completley different set of forwards as our forwards movement is shit (apart from maybe Routledge) and therefore negates the usefulness of said creative player. its fairly obvious to me how hughton wants to play and creativity doesnt come into it.
  12. we've had a couple of flakes here in North Shields. nowhere near enough to lay tho.
  13. And so far as the likes of you are concerned, anything deviating from a hard-line approach or with a nod to realism makes you a brainwashed, Guardian-reading "do-gooder" who cleans the toilets of mosques for a living. Which is why neither side will ever agree and this thread and versions of it will keep happening. Again and again and again. Tedious, isn't it? Both sides summed up perfectly. From my perspective it is definately not a race thing as such. Its more a general dislike / mistrust of people who seem unwilling to merge into society. I come into contact every day from the school yard to work to the pub with "foreigners" who are taking a full part in society, are open , friendly and skin tone never enters my mind. There are others however others who do close themselves off, dont try and fit in and as such make themselves stick out. This however is just a mirror of everyday relationships that we all encounter that have the same results. There will be people in the office who are stand offish and as such do not form relationships and become the brunt of the "packs" jokes. On top of all this we are living in tough times with a joke of an imigration policy. The two sides of life are bound to be muddied. True but the point is that Leazes see anyone who doesn't fit in as you describe as a threat to his way of life and to his actual life - I've asked for examples of the first without success and the second is ridiculous. It's this perceived threat to "Britishness" (which they can never define anyway) that marks people who may have doubts about immigration as root core racists imo. I'd also say that despite some false starts the current immigration system isn't that bad - the points system makes sense and as I've said the only element I'd limit severely is the arranged marriage importation of uneducated Southern Asians. Hmmm, some good points there. NJS, I agree with you about the points system for immigration. however, this only deals with the people who enter the country legally and this is but a drop in the ocean compared to the overall level of immigrants entering the country atm. I know you mentioned Southern asians through arranged marriages but in reality there are many more than that. unfortunatley nobody seems to know exactly how many illegals are here or perhaps are unwilling to tell. I think there was a study done showing 1 in 7 prisoners in our gaols wernt born in this country. perhaps this sheds some light on the overall problem. of course when i highlight that there is a problem im called a deluded far right fuckwit which quite frankly is deluded childish name calling. Jesus, sometimes it makes you want to spit!

  17. Some kind of federal system would be decent. I mean, Germany just about works and it's not as if a Berliner and a Bavarian have anything in common. Barely even language. you been trying to watch welsh channel 4 again Meenz?? Don't get it any more since we're on Virgin. I'm gutted - used to love watching Cân i Gymru of a St. David's Day! Well get yersel's back on SKY. actually dont as i'm with them (phone, telly, web) atm and they are shit. think i'll be going back to Virgin at end of contract...
  18. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_v468ptuXw but u should try this. Class. thats class LM, not sure about the 2nd tune as a ringtone tho. seems mightily depressing to me!! I much prefer to answer the phone with a grin on my face!
  19. totally agree about Mark Hughes. Fantastic manager at mid table Prem level which is the best we could possibly hope for under this owner. as for tactics, i really believe he's been forced into playing a more 'direct' approach to every game due to the limitations of the squad. lets face it, if your best two forwards are over 6' and not very mobile (as they are) it makes sense to play the ball early, try to hold the ball and hope you get a runner (Nolan, 2 wide guys) from midfield. saying all that i do believe we will struggle next season IF we get promoted.
