I get that. But if you'd have asked us fans who we wanted at that point as captain, I'm sure that we'd have all said Cabaye. I think we miss that Barton/Nolan character on and off the field.

I fully understand everyone's frustrations with Pardew and also the calls for him to be replaced. He has to take responsibility for a number of mistakes which have put us in this situation. However, I think the players deserve more frustrations/anger their way. Just seen that Tiote is likely to miss the rest of the season for a stamp on Sturridge, then we have Debuchy missing because a stupid second yellow. Then we have a stand in captain that doesn't know how to lead, and at times look completely disinterested. I can't help but feel that everything is against Pardew, and then to make stupid mistakes with line-ups etc is just adding to his shit situation.

Perch/Tiote let's Cabaye get forward. I think there's a decent balance to this side. And then we've pace on the bench if needed.

I agree. Big lad to head on or hold it up, then a nipper to beat the line and sprint for goal. Why I really liked having oba martins, his pace scared the shit out of back lines. Haven't really had that since until Campbell.

Hate to say it, but it might be best to play 442 with Ameobi and Gouffran up front. I jut worry that Gouffran will become 'invisible' tin the game if he plays up top alone. Mind you, up top alone means no long ball.

IF we decided to change managers in the summer, I'd like to see us go in for someone like Christophe Galtier at AS Saint-Etienne. I'd like to see us move away from 'comfort' zones and try something different. Seems to be doing a good job at AS S-E, and they play attractive, exciting football too.

Ameobi, Williamson, Jonas, and Gosling all need punting in the summer. I want to see a massive overhaul of personnel and start to really build a team around the players who matter ie. Cabaye, Sissoko, Ben Arfa
