Three Police Injured In Student Clashes
shackbleep replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in General Chat
Not long enough IMO. Some daft cunts in the media are saying it's wrong to give him a custodial sentence, he's of good character, won't repeat offend, didn't actually hit anyone blah, blah, blah. Fuck knows how they know all this about his personality like and the fact it didn't hit anyone is pure luck. Enjoy picking the soap up you clueless prick. -
Seb Larsson £1.5m bid Accepted - Apparently

All those ones happy to be on £10k p/w? It's bargain basement day every single day at Sports Direct FC -
Absolutely. The extra game ban was introduced to stop clubs appealing just for the hell of it (which used to happen all the time - nothing ventured, nothing gained). BTW I was unaware that if a player gets a straight red additional times in the season, the ban increases for each incident - i.e. 2nd straight red = 4 game ban, 3rd straight red = 5 game ban. Ouch!
-
Another appeal resulting in an extended ban is Michael Turner at the mackems. Can't think of any more though.

Jesus I actually agree with Tom. 80% of the time they dish out an extra game now if the appeal fails, the very least it's an admittance of is it's so borderline it was a difficult decision, but deep down they have to support the referee when there are grey areas, which is a fuckin disgrace if you ask me. I don't agree like. You can count on one hand the amount of time an additional game ban has been added. Can't convince me that all those appeals that have been upheld is 'almost an admission they know they were wrong to do so'. There's been loads of examples, and a good few of them getting overturned like that Argentinian full back for Man City last week. Zabaleta that's it. Take Alliadiere when he was at Boro they appealled and he was given an extra game ban it's happened loads of times. Why did Tiote not receive the extra game when so many others have? I didn't see one person claim Zabaleta's red card shouldn't have been overturned. We couldn't even agree about Tiote's amongst a few people on a Newcastle message board. As for the examples, Alliadiere was a well reported one, but there's not been too many others. Can you find some stats to back up the 80% claim?

I've made a clear point and I'm posting a because I find your suggestion about motive for not extending the ban frankly ridiculous.

Seems fair enough when you consider we were on in October. Imagine how fucked off we'd be if they'd shown the Brum derby both times? Merseyside derby is on as well is it not?

Has he fuck. But then Smith is a favourite of Ashley, isn't he?

Obvious it was a money thing given he was still getting more money off West Ham than we were paying Hughton. I doubt there was ever a serious approach made (in terms of money offered) since we already had Pardew lined up to take over from Hughton anyway. Good move for Liverpool though I reckon. Although it won't make the squad any less ordinary. Yep, that's what I'd heard and I agree, it's a good move from them.
-
That dickhead Lee Ryder reckons he turned us down because he wanted a managerial position. Not what I've heard.
-
I've heard he told them to fuck off because his missus won't live anywhere else except London.
-
if the ref sees it i think these days it pretty much is a straight red, yeah. it's been outlawed in the same way as the tackle from behind. Honestly that just isn't true. The fact is that if a referee judges a challenge to even be potentially dangerous then they can send the player off. As soon as he left the ground he was always running that risk. Indeed. He was sent off because both feet were off the ground - nothing to do with the tackle itself.

Steve Clarke confirmed as first team coach

Born on 11th September 2001 apparently. A tragic life from start to finish

Surely it depends on what time you stop drinking?? Or is this a 'never feed a mogwai after midnight' moment?
