  1. With Honours. Someone else can post the next screen cap as I'm at work.
  2. Which is why I doubt they'd spent huge money here if they did take over, if they had a virtually unlimited pot of cash then they would have offered Hicks and Gillett enough to buy their stakes but they seem to be haggling over price which leads me to believe that we wouldn't have the same sort of spending power as the likes of Chelsea and City.
  3. Anyone know much about DIC? I'm not sure whether their intentions would be to pump a fuckload of cash into the club, though any sort of injection would be an improvement I suppose.
  4. That's a fair point, but when you've got the Abu Dhabi Group with their billions swooping in on City, they don't really need to do due diligence. If Gates had taken us over instead of Ashley he could have wiped off debts and spent as much as he'd like on players, because by the next transfer window he'll have recouped the loss in interest alone. If Ashley was trying to run this club within his means, he should have looked closer at it before he bought it then.. but I still think his departure won't hail a glorious future. The point I was making was that the press coverage of the club should be immaterial to anyone looking to invest, as if they talk to the right people then they'll get the right message about the club. If they're rich enough that they don't need to do due diligence and just want a club to fling some money at then the point still stands, blazer and tie boy! You're right in that, the only thing this press coverage is going to do is strengthen their bargaining position. The product hasn't changed, but the owners position clearly has. Trouble is, we're making the change now, when nothing can be done to the playing staff and it's unlikely we'll see Keegan reinstated and Wise leaving. And if I'm honest I don't want the scouting system (Vetere, Jiminez) to go, it's a vast improvement on past regimes. I bet you 40 Rupees that Wise, at some point, has offered to go but Vetere and Jiminez has said that if he goes, they go too. Ashley has baulked at that as that is the foundation of his business model. So, the choice was Ashley's business model or Keegan, and we know what won. Of course, there's no proof of the above. I'll take your 40 rupees, you reckon that Wise would have even offered to leave that cushy little number? No chance.
  5. He wants a top-class manager yet he has to be local, well that limits the choice to absolutely no one.
  6. He does neglect to address the fact that we have had a net spend of fuck all under Keegan.
  7. Rubbish, Keegan has gone on record as saying that he was very happy with a few of the players that Wise has brought in, I'd guess that Keegan may have been more pissed off that we weren't getting enough of them in.
  8. Fuck off Fish. The fans are the only people in all this who are blameless. The hell they are. Objectively, we do this time and time again, we demand success our way. We hound out managers when they don't deliver in a season, we've hounded out a bloke who's come in with a genuine "plan" to get the club challenging. Basing our club on Arsenal is not a bad idea at all, they've challenged for major honours on a (comparatively) small budget, they've played some cracking football while they're at it. the only thing I'll blame Ashley for is the hiring of the wrong people for the job. And Jonny, hypothetically, if it was anyone but Keegan I'm willing to put every penny in my pocket against every penny in yours we'd have taken a different view. Which is a pretty big fuck up to be fair, not only has he picked the wrong people but he has also refused to admit that mistake and get rid of them. All he had to do was give Wise the boot or even just re-define his role but instead he has dug his heels in and now cut his nose off to spite his face by selling the club.
  9. Exactly, if we're following the Arsenal model then who buys the players for them? Wenger and David Dein had a very close working relationship and that was why their structure worked, everyone was happy with their roles and worked well together, the system Ashley has put in is not the same.
  10. What does this mean in our search for a new manager? Assuming that it's going to take a while to find a buyer then what manager is going to come in knowing that he could be straight out the door again once the new owner takes over?
  11. Looks like the protests worked, Henda can think himself lucky that he didn't scupper the entire deal.
  12. Since he took it into private ownership (not sure of the structure) he will be liable for debts. There are very strong rules in the U.K. reg best practice and director responsabilities. I'm assuming that the club is still a limited company and if so then he wouldn't be liable for debts unless he has personally guaranteed them. But given the amounts he has already invested in buying the club and supposedly paying the debts off then it wouldn't make any sense to run the club into the ground.
  13. This makes the Mail on Sunday piece look like an insightful, award-winning article.
  14. Well... if they've already been paid for then it would be rude not to. Gemmill, I understand where you're coming from but you are coming across as a bit of a soopa fan, yes some of us can't get to every game but at the same time some of those who do get to every game are stll complete fucking mongs. I'll just repeat what I was trying to say before, fair play to the folks who were protesting, you were reflecting the feelings of 99% of the rest of us fans. The initial poster is clearly a fucking spastic. To those who purchased goods inside the ground today, well they piad their money and if they want to give money to the 'club' then fair enough, though I personally wouldn't. What this whole issue shouldn't be about is ST holders vs. out of towners / povos. I think we all agree that Ashley is a fat cunt who should be run out of town (unless he brings KK back, in which case all is forgiven).
  15. So which one were you? Do you have a link where i can see more photos from the match please? More pictures of the match or more pictures of sexy kids flashing some flesh? Do a search on www.gettyimages.co.uk and it should bring up a load of them.
  16. As I said before, I couldn't give a fuck if he bought a pint in the ground, it's not the fact that he's protesting, it's the fact that he is a complete fuckwit that I take issue with.
  17. Well now that they know they've lost your moral support I'm sure they be heading off into the sunset.
  18. If someone wants to buy a pint inside the ground then fair enough, though given your attire it is the equivalent of protesting against animal cruelty while wearing a fur coat.
  19. You've already admitted your a scrawny fucker so I'm not getting too worried.
  20. It really was unfair of them to pick on those with special needs.
  21. You should've brought a bottle of water and a Mars bar.
