Exams are getting easier, immigrants are overrunning the country and we're all going to die of bird flu. End. Of.

Dennis Wise quits Leeds to sign up for Newcastle revolution
ewerk replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
Just when Leeds fans thought that things were starting to look up for them. -
Kids will be throwing away their bunsen burners and rushing to McDonalds to get these new exclusive qualifications. Won't somebody think of the children! Well as has been said it isn't actually an A-Level but the point still stands.

BBC reckon it's a coaching role. -
At the end of the day it's making a mockery of A-Levels (though I'd say there's probably more to this than is contained in the article) along with other rubbish subjects. The government should stop putting so much effort into getting people into university and spend more time encouraging those who are less academically gifted to take up vocational courses and provide as much support for them as they do for those who wish to contine their academic studies.

On offer? It's £99 now.

I would also like to express my surprise and confusion at this link. -
BBC are reporting that a third club have agreed a fee but aren't saying who it is. It would be great if it was Arsenal just to piss off those Spurs twats.
-
Sticking with him now according to what she has said in the NOTW. Well done luv, a role model for women up and down the country.
-
Probably worth that sort of money if he continues his progress though talk of his attitude and lifestyle is worrying.
-
the acutal definition of a mercenary can only applied to someone who takes part in an armed conflict so no it isn't Not necessarily but let's not get into the semantics, let's just call him a money grabbing bastard then?
-
Surely that's the definition of a mercenary?
-
I'll not be overly gutted if he signs for Spurs.

Add Michael Henderson to the list of idiotic hacks

Since when has everyone become so sensitive to what the journalists write? It makes us sound like a right bunch of whingers. Fuck them. -
Bollocks imo. I'd say we're far more interested in getting new faces in at the moment rather than renegotiating contracts of current players plus it would seem very strange for us to be offering a new contract to a player I'm assuming Keegan hasn't even met yet.
-
i.e., e.g., for instance, coincidentally and purely as an example, eh Leazes? Keegan's master plan is to get Bellamy and Barton to mate (using Terry Mac as the facilitator), thereby producing the world's greatest player ever!™ Bellaton? Barmy tbh.
-
"Keegan's club" Good to see he still has pulling power.
-
Aye he's looking a bit overweight apparently.
-
Don't take things so serious dear.
-
Yes, he's had one bad injury since his last really bad injury. Now fuck off. I'd hardly call 6 weeks out a bad injury and is hardly rare for someone coming back from a long term injury (which happened to be a bone break which is fairly unavoidable) so don't get all worked up because it's becoming clear that you're talking complete bollocks.
-
As far as I know he's only had one injury since then, hardly makes him a perma-crock.
-
I'd be completely underwhelmed. Ashton would be a decent signing if he could recapture the form he was showing before his broken ankle. Good player, perma-crocked though. That's why I'd be against going for him. I think he's a bit overrated too though. Apart from the ankle break his appearance record has been very good tbh. I wouldn't say he's overrated though he hasn't been in top form this season but I reckon he'd most certainly be over-valued by West Ham.
