  1. Nice idea but never forget Mike Ashley will always put his investment ahead of Newcastle United, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he put us in administration the second we go down, a Leeds-esque downward spiral awaits.
  2. I thought Breaking the Waves was excellent. The Wrath of Kahn is easily the best Star Trek film for me too. Wrath of Khan is superb, I never tire of watching it, although The Undiscovered Country is very under-rated.
  3. Danny B, I'd like to shit in my hand and slap you in the face. You cunt. Welcome to the board btw. Best first post ever !
  4. Bye-Beye for Newcastle? Defender could miss crunch clash leaving Shearer with just three at the back By Sportsmail Reporter Last updated at 1:30 AM on 18th May 2009 Newcastle could go into next weekend's critical final game of the season with only three fit defenders after it was revealed Habib Beye is suffering with a hamstring injury. David Edgar will be drafted in at right back at Aston Villa if Senegal star Beye is ruled out. Manager Alan Shearer has succeeded in his bid to keep Joey Barton away from the club for the rest of the season. His suspension was extended at a board meeting.
  5. Agreed but he's given his all which is more than we can say for most of them.
  6. Supporter owned? we'll get the NUSC back on the case. Speaking of which, if and when we go down, I'd laugh my tits off if Ashley ended up selling for about £80m after he mocked the fans with comments about how we could buy the club ourselves if we weren't happy with him after KK walked. Then I hope he gets bad AIDS. That might be the silver lining of relegation, I wonder if it might be the case ? I wonder if there is a buyer waiting in the wings and the only issue is what the price will be: one price for Premier league, another for Championship, this might explain Ashley's decision to ditch the original plan and dump Wise and bring in Shearer.
  7. It's like being given the choice of haemorrhoids or toothache
  8. Never catches a cross, always punches (often back into danger). Never comes off his line to close down Evidently doesn't communicate with defence (Boro game proved that when instead of Harper booting it out of play, Bassong had to turn around and face the attackers). He's a good championship keeper. He's not of Premiership standard however much we'd like him to be. Thanks again Shay, your loyalty during the Champions League and UEFA Cup seasons is commendable....
  9. arghhh , take it down !!!!! scary fuckin picture , brings back bad memories , i gave my season ticket up that day . Worse memories than the ones from this season? This season is the over all product of that day, in my humble opinion, the failure to replace Sir Bobby is the reason we are going down.
  10. Can we get a result at Villa ? yes ! Will we get a result at Villa ? no
  11. It's a complete unknown, there is no telling which players we would have next season or what investment Ashley is willing to pump in or if Ashley will sell up, so many unknowns.
  12. But with an awful time travel paradox plot which completely spoiled it for me. Unless I'm mistaken they destroyed the traditional Star Trek Universe as told through the series at the same time? So unnecessary, surely they could have used this excellent cast to deliver a slightly more believable and less contradictory plot? Oh, Simon Pegg let the cast down too. Since when was Scotty such a joke character? 5/10 from me. I know exactly what you mean regarding the change of the timeline, and I did have a "WTF" moment myself but I think for the purpose of the prequals I think it's a stroke of genius, if not any future movies (and they must be planning a series of movies) would just be a retread and have to follow the ready well documented events of the Star Trek universe, but now they have a blank page on which to create a whole new saga, a masterstroke in my view but one that will clearly not be universally popular.
  13. Build your own Championship team by Mike Ashley First take one Premier league team......
  14. It's certainly unpredictable !
