Maybe its Allardyce in disguise ?

I can respect them for that, most people make their own interpretations of the meaning of songs, and I think it can spoil it sometimes when bands explain the meaning of their song.

From a Bolton fan site: One interview. A thousand articles. The reaction to Sam Allardyce`s three and a half minute stint on Talksport on Monday, is a reflection of a 24 hour news age, where the editors of Newspapers and websites have pages to fill. Allardyce`s words were neither remarkable or unpredictable, yet they`ve been reported on with a zeal that borders on the hysterical. "I think I left them in great shape." "It wasn`t broken, so I don`t know why all the different people tried to fix it differently, because they obviously have and it simply hasn`t worked, so I don`t know why they did it in the first place." To the casual observer, those statements may ring true. To Bolton fans, at least the ones who remember the back end of last season, they come from a man in denial, who seeks to avoid his share of the responsibility. In the period starting on 1st January and ending in late April, when Allardyce left the club, Bolton won a mere four times, all against bottom six opposition. They were conceding an average of two goals a game. In the hammerings at Middlesbrough, Spurs and Manchester United, the result was a foregone conclusion before the half-hour mark. Against Reading at home, three goals were conceded in the last five minutes. Allardyce left behind a small, dispirited squad, lacking quality in several key areas. He compounded that situation by signing the execrable Gerald Cid, who was as responsible as anyone for the wretched early season results. Did Big Sam do a good job at Bolton? Absolutely. But it wasn`t flawless. Like Alan Curbishley, he left behind a club, who were already on the skids. To pretend that isn`t so does him no service whatsoever.

Sir Ian McKellen back as Gandalf Sir Ian McKellen has confirmed he will reprise his role as Gandalf in the film remake of JRR Tolkien's The Hobbit. "Yes, it's true," he told Empire magazine. "It's not a part that you turn down. I loved playing Gandalf." Two Hobbit films are planned for release in 2010 and 2011. They will be prequels to the Lord of the Rings trilogy, directed by Peter Jackson. Guillermo del Toro has been named as the director of the movies, to be made back-to-back in New Zealand. "I spoke to Guillermo in the very room that Peter Jackson offered me the part and he confirmed that I would be reprising the role," Sir Ian said. He also said del Toro would be starting the script in about six weeks after he has finished filming current project, Hellboy 2. According to studio New Line, the first film will be an adaptation of The Hobbit and the second will be an original story focusing on the 60 years between the book and the beginning of the Rings trilogy. "As to how it's going to work over two films and what going to happen on screen, well Guillermo has not got down to working out the major details yet - I can tell you it's going to be amazing though," Sir Ian said.

Eriksson to be sacked by Man City By Simon Austin Sven-Goran Eriksson has been told he will be sacked as Manchester City manager at the end of the season, BBC Sport understands. City owner Thaksin Shinawatra told Eriksson he was "not the right man for the job" at a meeting on Sunday, a source close to the manager said. Eriksson informed the players at training on Monday that he would be dismissed, provoking an angry response. The Swede, who has two years left on his contract, says he will not resign. Shinawatra has been unhappy with City's results since the turn of the year. The Thai billionaire was at the City of Manchester Stadium on Sunday to watch his team throw away a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2 against Fulham. Afterwards, he held a meeting with Eriksson and told him he would be dismissed after their final two games of the season. "Sven reacted calmly, as usual, but he was very surprised and disappointed," the source told BBC Sport. "He doesn't want to leave the club and will not resign. He loves working with the players and his work at Manchester City has only just begun." The club is refusing to comment on Eriksson's future. Eriksson took over as City manager five weeks before the start of the season and the team occupied third spot in the Premiership in November. However, their form has faltered badly since Christmas and they now lie ninth, having won just four of their last 15 games. "The team has not been playing as well as it should have or getting the right results since Christmas," said the source. "But overall it has been a good season. Thaksin agreed a five-year plan with Sven in the summer and the target for the first year was to finish in the top 10." Shinawatra bankrolled eight summer signings at a cost of more than £46m shortly after buying the club, but BBC Sport understands he has had no direct contact with Eriksson in the second half of the season. "They met several times personally at the start of the season and then nothing," said the source. "Sven has had a list of players he wants to sign next summer for several weeks, but he hasn't been able to get the go-ahead to get them. "He talks to (City chief executive) Alistair Macintosh, but things break down when he then goes to the chairman." The City players are understood to have reacted with a mixture of shock and anger when Eriksson told them he would be leaving. Last week, City defender Micah Richards said in his BBC Sport website column that the players were "100% behind" Eriksson. "I think it is crazy that his job is even being talked about as being in danger - he has been good for everyone at City," said Richards. Shinawatra will now set about the task of landing a new manager, with former Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari already touted as a replacement for Eriksson. It seems certain that any new manager will have a considerable amount of money to spend in the summer. Shinawatra has hundreds of millions of pounds worth of assets in Thailand frozen as he awaits trial on corruption charges later this year. Yet his former lawyer, Noppadom Pattama, who is now Thailand's foreign minister, told BBC Sport that he expected these assets to be "unfrozen in the near future".

Totally agree, sadly. Still find it quite amusing that people keep bringing up Leeds, as if to prove some point to be honest, the point being to misrepresent the old board. Simple fact is that its a complete one off, and anybody who thinks Bolton are a bigger and better club than Leeds is a total wanker. Do I take it that as Bolton are being mentioned here, Allardyce was a justified and worthy appointment by the old board for doing a lot better than Leeds ? Also highly amusing that people focus on the last few years of Shepherd and the Halls and completely discount the previous 12 or 13, not even mentioning the state the club was in when they found it in comparison to how they left it. Shouldn't need this pointing out though, the Champions League qualification, UEFA Cup qualifications, 2 FA Cup Finals and a sell out 52,000 crowd for a decade really speaks for itself. Who exactly are all these superior clubs that didn't match that ? It's Ashley's club now, aye. I've only pointed out that Spurs [ a smaller club than us] have mugged us for the first time in 20 years. Do you think that NUFC should act like the big club we think we are or not ? I don't think Spurds are necessarily a bigger club than us but being based in London and being able to offer European football next season will be an excuse for some players to choose them over us unfortunately.

Ridiculous you say? Wonder if there will be loads of articles about how Man City fans are fickle and demand instant success. Have the Citeh fans been calling for his head like I we were with Allardyce ? no but there were plenty of articles about ashley expecting instant success too I'd call that a fairer comparison Don't get me wrong, I think its mad getting rid of Sven, but it seems to purely the actions of an owner who appointed him, I'm not sure if its a fair comparison with Allardyce who was appointed by a previous regime and then proceeded to fuck off the fans.
