  1. One thing that watching the West Ham Vs Derby match proved was that we are desperatly missing Nolberto Solano, I sympathise with the reasons of his departure but we let him go for next to fuck all and he would cost many millions to replace, everything West Ham did that was good in that game came from Nobby.
  2. Can't see a problem in letting him go at all as long as he could be recalled in the event of a nuclear holocost that wiped out the remainder of the human race.
  3. They might be giants - Birdhouse in your soul
  4. I concur about N'Zogbia. The one or two times he was able to run freely at the Sunderland defence they looked very uncomfortable. Still, Sam makes a very salient point about O'Neill and Villa last season, one which I made last night You could also use David Moyes at Everton as an example of a club willing to ride the storm of a poor transitional season or two. For every David Moyes at Everton, there's five Walter Smith's at Everton. and a couple of Mike Walker's.
  5. SKY News are reporting its from close to the new Olympic site, Police have said it is unlikely to be linked to terrorism.
  6. Lots of smoke judging by the pictures but they seem to think its a couple of miles away from Canary Wharf

  8. Player for player we are better than the majority of those teams in my opinion, the only difference is the quality of manager.
  9. 30 years of luck No, I'm not saying he's a rubbish manager (he buys well for sure), but equally he does get the rub of the green more than some. I think you'll find thats down to him being a top class manager rather than lady-luck.
  10. Sven lucky ? bollocks, you can't tell me his success with Sampdoria, Lazio, Benfica, Roma, Fiorentina and Gothenburg are down to luck.
  11. Thats probably due to the incredible strength in depth of his squad rather than not knowing which wing to play N'Zogbia and Milner or if Beye is a better rightback than Taylor.
  12. Where would we be now if we had adopted the "stop moaning, he probably knows better than us" philosophy with Souness and Roeder ? I'm not advocating sacking Sam at all, but if you don't like the style of management, speak your mind !
  13. I felt we were second best yesterday, but its a derby ffs, it was played like a cup final, although the team selection fucked me off big-time, I'm willing to turn a blind eye to the performance.
  14. I don't doubt that incidents such as this, him buying a round in Blu Bambu etc. are all done with PR in mind. I think you both have him completely wrong on this one. I reckon he deserves all the accolades he can get for sitting in amongst the fans - especially for such a game. Good luck to the guy, I say. He took a lot of the media focus off our players in the build up to the match, no bad thing in my opinion.
  15. Taylor at rightback ? Barton on the wing ? Smith in midfield ? Subbing Owen for Martins leaving a fucked Viduka on the pitch ? hhmm ok. I forgot, you're good at FM aren't you? My mistake. I shall defer to you on all matters of team selection from now on. EDIT - the point is Jimbo, the bloke has sent the team out only 12 times, and yet people keep talking about these horrendous errors in team selection. 12 fucking times and everyone's an expert. It's a load of bollocks. He makes mistakes, I've said that, but I'm fucking sure that none of us know any better than him.

  17. no. square pegs in round holes at the moment. i don't think he knows what his best side is yet. Agreed, and I find that disturbing. I can understand why he doesn't know his best starting 11 yet. He only took over the squad about 12 games ago and has also added 9 new faces to it. Most were complaining last season etc we never had a big enough squad so he has tried to fix that problem. Most on here change their prefered starting 11 week to week, its a bit ironic that Sam continually gets slated for the same thing. Confidence in his best team will come through games and what he sees on the park in competitive games. While he's consitantly playing players out of position its not surprising he doesn't know his best 11, as someone said following the Reading match "the game was lost as soon as the teamsheet was pinned to the wall", that sadly will be the reoccuring statement of our season, in my opinion.
