I'm very much a libertardian at heart, too. I could talk for a long time about why I think porn is a net-negative, but I'll try to keep it short. It sets unrealistic expectations; it promotes an often unhealthy view of sex; it's addictive; it potentially lessens the need to procreate (not that I give two shites about that personally). I recently gave up porn and feel much better for it, in spite of it being completely fucking awesome, obviously.

I think there's a lot of very smart people using all sorts of statistical metrics for bookies but I don't think this is a market where they can apply it.

I honestly think porn is a net negative for society (not just kids) but so is everything fun. So it really comes down to how much of a Libertardian you are.
