  1. Seems like a great time to start on the cowies.
  2. Tasker for Android. Amazing utility, even now that Android has incorporated a lot of the functionality it was used for in the past, still does stuff like: -plays a Spotify playlist of your choice instead of an Alarm -kills that annoying 'max volume' warning and stops it turning the sound down when you plug in headphones -shake flashlight without needing an extra app running -turn volume to max, turn on DND and open music player when headphones are plugged in -do the inverse when headphones are plugged out
  3. @@Haydnator. Just remembered one of the paid services does a 2-day service for a fiver. It's a lot for one match, but it's an option if you're desperate.
  4. Didn't take long for this thread to degenerate into pure filth.
  5. Police Quest was amazing too, but I don't like anything where I can die/have to think on my feet these days. DOTT Remastered one of the many I'm working my way through atm. There's been a great resurgence of decent point and click in the last few years, but I don't like the direction Telltale games have gone recently.
  6. All over the shop tbh. If I'm being good and sticking to a 24hr cycle, then maybe 4am-12pm on average, but often awake 30+ hours and asleep 10+.
  7. Split. Supposedly Shyamalan's return to form, but I thought it was an awful, awful movie. Worst I've seen for a while, and I enjoy a lot of mediocre horror and liked Shyamalan's downturn quite a bit more than most. The underlying message is beyond hamfisted too.
  8. I can easily spare an hour a day or more for playing games, it just tends to be at unsociable hours. If you cunts would stay up for a session from 2-6am I'd be grand.
  9. Fuck me, I thought you meant GeJon for a second. That would have been DARK.
  10. SportsDevil should be your fall-back as it's usually stable and has a wide selection, but it's pretty low quality as it's just parsing the normal web-streams. I'm using a paid service for a while now, so my info is a little out of date, but NJM Soccer was the best free one if your match is on there. Paid ones really aren't worth it for one match or even a month, but if you want to get a full year now PM me and I'll send you the sign-up info. These services are openly talked about on Reddit these days, so I'm not sure if the veil of secrecy is even necessary anymore.
  11. Apparently it is actually a thing.
  12. Sounds a bit safer. Don't remember the wet socks bit.
  13. I recommend a double dose of your favourite anti-psychotic or benzo before bed. Sure, you might not wake up, but if you do, you'll feel on top of the world.
  14. Is there such a thing as a bad drink?
  15. Aye, really looking forward to playing that one. Massive Ron Gilbert fanboy, obviously. Have you played it yet?
  16. Agreed; I feel the same way about 'retard' and its many derivatives. Always conflicted between being funny and unacceptable in polite company. Same reason I'm a massive racist.
  17. I don't think I can catch it a second time tbh.
  18. Surprised at a young lad using that phrase in this day and age, Haydn. I believe the correct nomenclature is 'fucking spastic cunt'.
  19. I don't really follow anyone on Twitter, other than news sources, so I don't even know who he is.
  20. Just finished "Going Home". It's a very different and unique game and only point and click adventure in the loosest sense. There's really only a couple of incredibly easy puzzles in the whole game. I don't know who to recommend it to, but if you're looking for something to kill a few hours, are into narrative heavy games, and get emotionally involved it's a great trip.
  21. I grew up playing classic adventure games of the early 90s, and increasingly it's all I play. Standouts from back in the day are anything by LucasArts, the Gabriel Knight series and the Tex Murphy series. And the Broken Sword series and Grim Fandango a bit later. I went through a period a bit obsessed with collecting the best of them, as you can see: https://isthereanydeal.com/u/gx6b7/collection/ I was more addicted to collecting them than playing them for a long time but have recently been making time to regularly play them. Best of the modern lot are probably the Blackwell series.
  22. Like an old's browser not using ad/script blockers?
