As Britney would say, HUH ???? -
Shit Liam O's Keegan's (especially the fans in the Gallowgate).
-
Barry Ferguson ? Failed at Blackbum but there's something about this guy that appeals. Doubt he would leave Rangers, though.

I'm going to say a BIG THANK YOU to Mike Ashley....
snakehips replied to Asprilla's topic in Newcastle Forum
The pros and cons of Mike Ashley: Pros: He bought the club which rid us of Shephad and Haall. He has taken £100m out of the biscuit tin to pay off the debt, meaning everything NUFC generates can be used to help the club/team instead of paying off debt interest. He seems genuinely in it for the right reasons and not as a means of making more money. He has a gut that is bigger than mine, meaning when I stand next to him in the bog I feel slim Cons: He has a shirt with 'Smith' written on it - this is just wrong, wrong, wrong. -
Gut reaction followed by careful consideration

Home game against Leicester? The only home games we had against Leicester were the 7-1 when we were 6-0 up at half time, a 3-1 home win when we were class and Albert scored a belta, and that amazing 4-3 when Shearer got a hattrick. I think you're on about Ipswich, one of the worst games I've ever seen, Ipswich were as bad as I've ever seen a Premiership team, their tactic was 10-0-0, 0-0 fuck all happened then Cole scored his last goal for the toon, then they decided to attack in the last minute and with their only shot fucking scored, what a shit game that was, you couldn't have been on about Leicester though. It's a decent post this though, and I agree with what you say, but it won't stop me losing all sense of reality tomorrow getting mortal before the game and singing my heart out for the lads. Fantasy is better than reality, and if and when reality bites, I'll stop dreaming. I'm willing to bet he's talking about the home game with Birmingham in the promotion season when we were being seriously fucked over and rescued a point late on thanks to Andy Cole. Nar, it wasn't the Brum game. I'm 100% sure of that. Stevie has put some doubt into my mind but I am still fairly sure it was a Leicester game at SJP. Confused. Maybe it was a 1-1 or summat ??? -

I was in a hotel in India on Wednesday night and a little worse for wear, shall we say . I got a text saying Keegan had been given the job and my initial gut reaction was 'GET FUCKIN' IN!'. Since then, I've been giving the story a bit more thought - as I guess we all have - and the overwhelming thing for me is the fact that when Keegan was manager I couldn't wait to go to the match. Since he left, an incredible amount of apathy has come into my attending the games which just shows that something was wrong. As well as the fantastic games we had under Keegan, there was also a bit of dross (A home game against Leicester springs immediately to mind) along the way proving the point that life was not all a bed of roses whilst Keegan was manager. However, if you all think back, you too must surely recall the completely different emotions prior to nearly every game we played, opposed to the feelings you've had since (although under Robson we did have a wee bit of excitement). So, it's a 'yes' from me. Of course there's no guarantee that things wont go pear-shaped (as there's no guarantee that any other manager would have been a success) but at least we all know that Newcastle United are going to take to the field trying to take the opposition on and not just going out to avoid defeat. Oh, and for those who think this should have been in the other thread - fuck off! I'm Snakehips (aka Spartacus) and I'll do what I like!!

Return of the Snakehips!!! A nice glass of tradional lemonade prior to the association football match against 'The Trotters' is in order, I feel. -
I doubt there is a shred of truth in this. Top agents/reps phoning round journos trying to get Mort's number? Yeah, right! However, let's get something straight about NUFC: It's a big club and a big job. And the FACT! is that whoever can bring success here will become a fucking GOD, never mind a paltry chosen one, or some such crap. Now who would fancy such a job like this? Who has the balls?

I have put off displaying these until January. For reasons I wont go into, as of tomorrow I will have severely restricted internet access. Sooo, I thought it would be a bit unfair to have things up in the air and then (if I could get on here and answer enquiries) have mrs Hips dealing with any outcome/sale. I have taken the pics, but will leave them until Jan. Please accept my apologies. Until then.....hang loose

"..privately it is well known the two do not see eye-to-eye." That sentence doesn't make sense. Privately it is well known. Whaaaa ??

Shola and Oba to unite and become an unexpected smash hit. You heard it here first.

If Engerlund don't qualify it will give the English footballers that much-needed break, thus preventing them from suffering the dreaded burn out for season '08-'09 (poor lambs).

Have to disagree there Jon boy. What were you expecting? Gangsta shit is Gangsta shit and I thought this one was done quite well I'm not sure, but something was missing from it for me if you will, look at The Departed, for me that had that something, but this just didn't. Went to see it yesterday. Bit of a nothing film tbh. Some nice scenes, but nowt special. -
No comment? pologies Snakey...the lass who was the rep got a load of bumf from the administrators last month and it could be well into next year by the time we get anything and even then probably only 5p to the "£1 Sorry to hear that. I hope it turns out better than you fear - fingers crossed.

I recall the film (M. Caine), but can't recall Kipling Kipling's the bloke who witnesses the agreement and then who Caine tells the story to upon his return. It's Christopher Plummer - he's one of those geezers who's in loads of films but it's hard to remember what his name is. Last seen in 'Inside Man' (by me anyway). I remember the scene now - cluttered office scenario (iinm) I will watch it again soon to refresh my mind.

As long as I make it that far, I couldn't care less what I leave lurking!
