  1. Which press are reporting on this, mate? He'll not drop Ryan Taylor I doubt at the minute. Think we'll play the same back 4 on sunday then let him get to grips next week.
  2. Vuckic knew it was in before it he'd even decided to shoot. Or was he arms aloft for the pass. Very good strike. good spot psychic Haris. http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=...628562560793120 Class. Effort and a half that. Cantona had fuck aal on yee. that's where the similarities end, only sent off twice in a 21 year football career. Best's volley was embarrassing though. Could yee look yourself in the mirror and honestly say you would fuck it up that badly. Just hit the fucking target, it's not that hard, he's a professional he's 20 yards from goal. Aye, Bests effort from the corner of the box was piss poor. Didn't get over the ball. Anyone that knows anything would say you shoot across the keeper so if he saves it's back into the mix. Best on the other hand took a wild swing aiming for the keepers near side. Woeful finish. Still, put himself about a bit. For me, I'd play Sammy and Shola on sunday. Perfect opportunity, at home, after a win. See what he's made of. Bubba looked absolutely atrocious. Still think he'll do well if played as an out and out striker and not off Bests shoulder.

  5. I cant wait to hear Pardews thoughts. It's obvious he wanted him to stay after playing him in the opening 2 games. How is he going to deflect questions on what say he has at Newcastle United? He's basically a manager at your work who leaves the recruitment with HR and gets sent any old shite that the company see fit. Given, Milner, Carroll, Nolan, Jose, Barton havn't all left for money. It clearly runs far deeper and anyone stating it's all money related are way off the mark. The blame lays clean at Ashley and Llambias' door. Horrendous for the fans, again. Lose tonight and we'll hear the 'club in crisis' brigade back on song. We've been in a constant state of crisis since Hughton was ejected from the position. Impossible to communicate with the club and regardless how much we, the players or the manager try; we'll never have any say in the future of our club.
  6. Fucking hell, aye that lot, Travellers Rest. Just joined this season like, that Sean doesn't play anymore but the other two do. 880,000 people on Tyneside and we both know at least one of them kids. Proper small world like. Absolute fucking madness. Their all cousins of mine, Mala plays upfront; good player. Same as Alan. You'll have a good craic with them lot.
  7. Only thing about Scum is that it's too quiet. Ocassionally on itv4 late at night but need to turn it up really high to hear what's being said. Maybe I'm the only one who noticed that.
  8. Ocassionally, aye. Used to be 'blood brothers' 'cos my mother and fatha used to let him stay at ours for weeks on end. He's abit older than me but still see him at family doos and what have ye. Really good lad, just got divorced a few month back. I'll ask him if he kna's you. Think he's still playing sunday league.
  9. So you got the picture then? All the lads in my family were decent players, tbh. Sean being the best though. I've just text him there and he says it was actually 3 OG's in 5 minutes. I knew he was prolific.
  10. The highlight of Gateshead is the top of that bank past yours near the hospital, in my view the best view of the whole NE. SJP looks fuckin class and the Cheviots look huge in the distance. Aye, that's where I was on about, canny pic here... http://www.flickr.com/photos/allan_bruce/1...22420/lightbox/ That is the EXACT view. Lush that like. Who's your da post as on here? Just a bit further up Old Durham Road than where I used to live that. Was 2.52 miles Now 33.56 miles Deckham? I play for the pub team just next to where the pics taken. Which pub's that? Some of my family are from Beacon Lough East, they play footy for teams up there. Mala Jones? Sean Devlin? Alan Milne? I recognise that name. Is he all left foot, probably aboot 35 now? Aye, that's Sean. Will be about 35 now I reckon. Good looking kid. Brother Darren is a keeper, he's abit older though, probs 38/39. Aye when I was dead young probably 17/18 he played in my mates work 5 a side team, I played for them at the pitz, we won the first division 8 seasons running winning every single game against some fucking absolutely cracking teams, best five a side team I ever played in, was my mate who is about 6 years older than me in goal, a kid that played semi pro in Northern League, kid that played in the League of Wales, andother kid, me and Sean played half the time, I used to score all the goals, and he'd set them all up, very good player when he played. Last time I seen him was 1998, only reason I remember that is cos I broke me hand that day playing, he was playing for that pub in Besty's photo, played his 11 a side team on that big open field at the top of the hill. That was about 13 years ago. Never really got to know him that well, I was just the youngun in that team who scored all the goals but seemed a good kid. Is he a close mate of yours like Andy? He's my cousin, mate. He played against Newcastle reserves about 8 year ago and scored 2 own goals in the space of 3 minutes.

  15. 3.37 miles PR Newcastle United Football Club NE1 4ST 8.92 miles PR Sunderland AFC SR5 1SU Phew, safe in the Uber Geordie elite for another year, Stevie. Postcodes mean nowt though, Forest Hall's NE12 I think and I'm in Wallsend which is NE28. They're literally in a straight line and equal distances from NE1.

  17. Pork Luncheon Meat was a mainstay on our plates as kids. Pek Chopped Pork was used in a variety of ways, ranging from but not limited to; Pizzas, Sandwiches, Pasta. I still like it personally, though she wont entertain it in the house as she says it smells like catfood. I'm a creation of all that I've done in my past and what I've seen. Lived in Exeter/Torquay for a couple of years in the early 00s. Most people would tone the accent down and be more respectful of others 'way of life'. Unfortunately, I found myself, and still do to this day, comparing everything to my upbringing. I had a normal Geordie upbringing. Dad owned pubs (The Central, Half Moon, Station, Queens Head) so lived above one until I was about 10. LCL, Corned Beef and Beetroot Sandwiches and KP crisps were a delicacy in my mind until I was about 16. You's are right though, if we were all the same it'd be a boring existance. Don't mean to come across as a cock when bigging up our area or thinking I'm Uber Geordio. Places like TupTup and them bars at the bottom of the Bigg Market sicken me though. They're not inkeeping with our heritage or way of life in Newcastle. This is why there are soo many muscle laden mongs in v-neck tshirts out on the drink everynight in Town. Anyway, anyone fancy doing a come dine with me TT special? I can come to yours and feast on beautiful wines and scallops then you can come to mine and I'll dish up a jacket taity and cheese with a slab of Kestrel Super Strength?
  18. I've got none left mate. Used my bucketload up in my teens.
  19. Is there anyone on here you would say is guilty of that, don't worry there's no need for a " " The two of us, I'd imagine. I wouldn't say I was; I just have simple pleasures. It's the people who gan wine sampling and travelling to the south of France for a weekend of fish tasting when they've been brought up in Daisy Hill. I just embrace the heritage of where I'm from. Thankfully that heritage is football, beer and eating. Oh, and abusing mackems.
  20. Wey, you have your quilt/duvet cover, then a sheet, then another 'frilly' sheet under the matress that hides the bottom of the bed. You not have one of them? You sleep on your mattress? Wtf? What d'you sleep on? Well I have 2 sheets I meant. Otherwise I'd have to was the duvet cover frequently which is a pain. 2 sheets? Like in a hotel? I don't like that, too restrictive on the legs. Feel like Stephen Hawkings lying in bed.

  22. Wey, you have your quilt/duvet cover, then a sheet, then another 'frilly' sheet under the matress that hides the bottom of the bed. You not have one of them? A valance sheet Most people use them tbh. I have purple ones to match all my bedding. (Covers up the drawers in my bed) I also cover the duvet with a throw/bedspread and lots of matching little cushions in the day. Looks pretty Hubby complains every night about having to move all the cushions and the covers off!! Aye, that's what she calls it 'a valance sheet'. My mother always used to call it a bottom sheet. I probably should've piped doon about 30 posts ago, tbh.
  23. The antagonist I think it's how you're 'draged up', tbh. I was always in an environment where it was dinner then tea. I know my youngun was confused at school on his first day when they got told to go to the 'lunch hall for lunch'. He came home asking why they say lunch and I say dinner. The answer, 'cos they're mugs' wasn't well recieved by the wife. Especially as he was only 4.
